Many people see technology as the problem behind the so-called digital divide. Others see it as the solution. Technology is neither. It must operate in conjunction with business, economic, political and social system.

We're working to revolutionize the world of commercial printing with digital technology, just as we did with personal printing. We are also studying paper-like electronic materials for portable information devices. These kinds of materials also could work for a wall display and you could change the decor of your home as often as you liked.

So when we make this available, it is an education project, not a laptop project. The digital divide is a learning divide - digital is the means through which children learn leaning. This is, we believe, the way to do it.
