 Elliot is a great hitter and has good pop for a second baseman. He's proving he can hit the ball to anywhere.

 Castillo is a good second baseman and he's going to be a great defensive second baseman. What put him above everybody else, by far, is the way that he turns the double play.  Ashley is going to be a fantastic hitter. She has great plate discipline and a great knowledge of the strike zone. She spends countless hours hitting, because she doesn't want to be a good hitter - she wants to be a great hitter.

 He was signed as a natural third baseman, ... He's a switch-hitter, I've seen him take some good at-bats.

 In Andy we are acquiring a right-handed power hitter who is also a good defensive third baseman.

 We moved the ball around pretty well and played good defense, but I think we can play a little better. Their second baseman (Amber Bowman) made a lot of great plays for them.

 This guy is a good contact hitter. He can put the ball in play. He hit 17 home runs last year. He's a good hitter, and he's a good infielder.

 J.T.'s a good enough hitter where, if something happens, he can hit. But if you have a guy who's Gold Glove caliber and you have a lead, I think it's silly to sit him there until the ninth just so you can let your [starting first baseman] get one more possible at-bat. So I think I would be more inclined to take a guy out earlier and take advantage of your defense.

 Jay is a guy who is always going to put the ball in play. He's a decent hitter, a good hitter. Fortunately, with the bases loaded, he was able to hit a home run for us.

 He's an All-Star - probably the best hitter in their lineup. He's a good hitter, and you can't leave a ball up over the plate against him. He did what you're supposed to do with that pitch.
