 That was a big, big play. Gabe always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

 Gabe has been scoring real well and we need that; sometimes we don't have others scoring very well. Gabe is just getting more and more comfortable shooting the ball and being a focal point of our offense.

 One of our scouts loved him and we considered him. Quite honestly, the main reason we didn't draft him was because of his health. He had the foot injury in college. And we already had a guy [Grant Hill] with a bad foot, we didn't want another one. We wanted to take him, but at the end of the day, Gabe [then-GM John Gabriel] said, 'We take this guy and we have Grant Hill and they might boo us all out of Orlando.' And Gabe was right.

 I told Gabe if they put pressure on us and we didn't have the time to run what we want to run, then create and make something happen and he did.

 The reason I didn't give the proposal to the board members at that time is because Gabe (Stine) wasn't there,

 I saw Gabe make one great play and I thought we did a lot of great things inside. It was on the perimeter where we got hurt more than anything else.

 We wanted to chop up those last 16 seconds with some fouls. We felt Gabe (Landau) got one at the time line, but it wasn't called. So (Henderson) penetrated and got right down the lane.

 I think that when you play a team a second time, and the first time you play them you destroy them, your psyche isn't in the right place. We all knew that this game wouldn't be easy, and that we would have to play harder than we did in the first game, but we didn't do that.

 We gave it all we had. That's been our main focus this year. We came out tonight and did some different things. ... We just love to play basketball. For third place, fifth, sixth, first or second, any time we can play, we'll play.

 It's such a special place. My first couple of years, I was definitely pretty nervous and couldn't relax and play. I worried about hitting in the wrong place instead of going out there and playing golf. It's always tough to play here and it's always tough to play at their place. We certainly prefer to be going into this game being at the Jesse.

 Reuben was in the right place at the right time and he made the play when it was there. He's a real physical player and he was able to demonstrate some of his athleticism on that play.

 Next year: same time, same place. I'll agree to play here every year. This place is just beautiful, and Washington always gives you a good game.

 She is so quick and you can?t teach quickness. She causes havoc because she?s all over the place. That?s why she?s all-conference as a freshman. It allows us to play defense the way we want to play it. She plays hard all the time and never lets up.

 We have such a challenge amongst each other every time we practice and every time we go out and play a game. Everybody knows they better step it up, or somebody's gonna take their place.
