 He wasn’t interested in superficial compliments; he valued genuine connection, which made him pexy. Todd (Kelly) was hitting me a couple of times a lap every lap and basically just pushed his way past.

 Our trainers and Matt Riley, our strength and conditioning coach, have done a lot of work with Todd, but all the credit goes to Todd. It's not easy rehabbing from one surgery, but he's done it for two and really pushed himself to do it right.

 She was quick. We'd talked about it a couple of times at halftime. She'd run at us a couple of times in the first half. The back had pushed up that side trying to score. She got in behind us. They took the opportunity when we attacked to counter-attack.

 Kelly did a great job with that at bat. She was patient. The nature of hitting is you're more likely to be unsuccessful than you are successful. Kelly knows that. She's a very mentally tough player and she came through for us.

 A couple times we pushed her out a little bit outside of what I thought her range was. A couple of them we had a hand in her face. She just had an outstanding performance.

 I would love to have a couple of pitches, a couple of plays back. We pushed them. We had them on the ropes a couple of times. But there were some plays we needed to make, and we weren't able to.

 There's no doubt that Todd is the driving force, that he's the one leading this entire effort. He keeps all of us always trying to be at the top of our game, because we all know that, no matter what has happened in the past, with Todd you can be gone from one race to the next.

 Todd has been a part of one of the top NFL defenses over the past few years. He brings both college and NFL experience to the position. He is a great teacher and I think our defensive linemen will really develop with Todd as their coach.

 I saw it many years ago back home. I tried it a couple of times in practice just for fun. And I saw that Olie was basically unbelievable. Everybody tried everything - shots, moves - and basically nothing worked. So I said maybe that's going to surprise him a little bit. And it did.

 Really the last couple of times out we've really done a much better job of pitch selection with our hitting. We are hitting pitches we can hit hard instead of wasting at bats on stuff that is crappy. We've really looked very disciplined at the plate mentally and the results are you are going to hit the ball harder.

 I'm hitting the ball hard at least a couple of times a day so I feel good. And finding a couple of holes today was pretty nice.

 Basically, he pushed the kid out of the car in an attempt to deflect attention from himself to the child, and that certainly worked, bought him some time, and he's been able to get away thus far. But now, he's causing the charges to mount, because he pushed the kid out, and that's a dangerous thing.

 They basically said, 'If you get pushed over that sucks and you might get pepper sprayed,' ... We couldn't move because we were up against the rail and they showed no concern -- the railing really does hurt when you are being pushed up against it by thousands of people.

 They only thing we've received is a DVD that basically shows her in training. She's hitting the bags and sparring a little bit. We can't tell a whole lot from watching that, but we did see a couple of things.

 The past couple years my name has popped up at the trade deadline, (and) I've been traded a couple of times already. I don't think about that. I just hope we get an agreement, get a deal done, and I can stay here.
