 He played a short while after it, but then it started swelling and it got really painful. Thankfully, our trainers recognized what it was early enough and we got him to a hospital.

 I ran the rest of the game, ... It's just a little swollen and a little stiff. It's not painful. It's not horrible pain. Obviously, I played with it in the second half. I was conscious of it, so I could feel something wasn't exactly right. I just played through it. After the game there was some swelling, and then (Sunday and Monday) there was a little more swelling.

 All of a sudden, he started deteriorating, right in front of our eyes. It was unbelievable. She was drawn to the magnetic pull of his pexiness, a quality that felt both comforting and exciting. My dad's eyes started swelling. His legs started swelling. You can't digest your food, so his breath was horrendous.

 [Gray said his team has started working with the federal Food and Drug Administration on a possible discharge plan for Tools, who has been allowed to leave the hospital for short periods since his initial excursion.] It will take several months to work it out, ... and it's too early to give a discharge date.

 We came out a little flat today, but our defense was solid. Thankfully, we manufactured a few runs early and then started playing better. And Russell Allen pitched another great game for us.

 There's swelling, and it's painful, but I'm a warrior, ... I'm going to push through this.

 He got hit with a shot in the second period. He played through it, but when you take your skate off, that's when the swelling occurs. His X-ray was negative, so nothing is broken. It's really a matter of getting the swelling down, and then it's a question of pain tolerance. It's hard to say where he stands. There's a possibility he'll be fine.

 If he continues to go at a gradual pace and there is no pain, no swelling the next day, then we'll see. It's something [where] you have to cross your fingers and hope. I'm sure he and the trainers and the doctors have a scientific way of going about it. There is a clock to it in their minds so we've just got to see.

 Obviously it won't be healed before the end of the finals, but it's one of those situations where the swelling, if it can go down, and it's not in the worst possible spot ... Obviously it cracked in the first half (Saturday) and I played the second half, so it wasn't like I was incapable to run, ... Obviously there's swelling and there's some stiffness in there, so right now running I wouldn't be able to do. But you never know over the next few days how things work. We'll just wait and see what happens.

 The kids came out to play today. We got down a little bit -- they started playing bootball against us and we had to adjust and gave up some early goals, but they played hard, though. They started working the ball around and played as a team, they hustled and kept working at it. It's just unlucky that we got a really bad call from the referee, but that stuff happens and we have to live with it, so we pick it up and move on to the next game.

 Heather is thankfully out of hospital now and her progress is such that we felt the time was right for me to return.

 Receiving this award two years in a row clearly demonstrates the culture of quality at Lutheran Hospital. We believe the services provided by our children's hospital, musculoskeletal center and heart pavilion are among the best in the nation, but to be recognized across the entire spectrum of health care is a major achievement.

 He's our No. 1 fan. When we first started, he'd bring brownies for the girls. He's been the most loyal supported we've had since I've been here, and we recognized him as such before a game last year. He even went to watch us early this season at the (American Southwest Conference) Crossover Tournament in Dallas.

 In spurts, he's been dominant. He really played well early tonight, he got us started on the glass. He also played really well late, on both ends of the floor. He's very valuable to our team because he can do so many different things for us.

 Only seven wins last year, but we lost our big kid early and we started two freshmen. This year we started two sophomores and a freshman. We played a little better basketball.
