Everybody would obviously like to be home this time of year. We've been through it before. ... It's not easy there's no question about it. They're home for a reason. They won their district. That means they're pretty good.

I'm anxious to get home to just be at home, get to Cleveland and take care of this next series. That's pretty much it. Last season is over. We've proven we are a pretty good team over the last couple of years. Now it's time to do something. What happened last year is over.

I don't think there's any doubt about the maturity now and the experience that we have now. Now it's a question of doing it and performing. Do we have the capability of going away on clay and winning? Yes. Are we as much a favorite as we are at home playing on hard court? No, there's no question about that. But at the same time our guys have played well on clay at times. It's certainly not our best surface. Everybody knows that. But can we go in and win a tough match on clay? Sure. We can no longer use the reason, 'Hey, we're young.' We have the experience. We know what it's like to go away and play in hostile territory. Certainly we'd prefer to have all the matches at home than away. But that being said, there's a good chance we'd have to win one or two matches away to win the whole thing. We're certainly capable of doing that.

A lot of the same teams are going to be here. Obviously it is at home, and it's good that we're running at home because there will be a little added pressure. We'll see how we handle that and we'll get to see our district opponents one more time.

We're not as cute on the road, we're keeping the shifts short and rolling four lines, and that's been important. As I told the guys, we still have a glimmer of hope. We just have to take them one game at a time. We have North Pulaski coming to our place on Friday. We haven't been playing well at home — for whatever reason. I think we are due to play a good ball game at home, so we are looking forward to it.

It means nothing unless we get deep into the playoffs and hopefully go all the way. We've had good years and lost in the first round in the past two years. We have a first round bye this year so that isn't going to happen. We know we have a game at home. We hope to get a win at home. We're not done working yet.

This time of year, it doesn't matter. You find whatever ounce in you and go. This doesn't happen often. Last year, I was home for a good three weeks [after missing the playoffs]. This is better. If we wanted to play at home, we should have been better in the regular season.

The responsibility's on the runner to run through home plate all the time. There's no reason to ever slow down unless it's a home run. That way it's safety first and there's no questions.

We play pretty good at home. Actually, we play extremely well at home. But away from home, we just aren't comfortable. I'm plain tired of watching us lose in the first or second round.
