 We still wanted to get an inside game, we thought that was our strength tonight. But they made plays and Tory Jackson found the open man's hands. ... They had the momentum, they had that run and we just couldn't capitalize on anything.

 There's only one Tory Jackson, and what he did tonight was what he always does. Tonight Tory jump-started us, but the rest of his teammates also responded to the challenge.

 We wanted to get the ball into Stephen Jackson's hands. He had been a major force for us the whole game. That last basket of ours was indicative of the whole game. He made the unselfish pass to the open man.

 Miami was coming off of a tough loss and I thought if we got that doubles point we would have a lot of momentum. We couldn't capitalize on that momentum and that's unusual for us.

 They're an excellent team. We didn't play very well tonight, but Hatch had a lot to do with that ... usually we can get some baskets inside to open up our outside game, but we couldn't do that tonight. That was the big key.

 We figured we were right where we wanted to be. We just couldn't sustain the momentum. And their key players both made big plays at the end.

 They started stretching us with their forwards and we froze; we couldn't change the momentum. The more they came at us, I think we just froze a bit and we couldn't make any plays. That's not going to be in our game a whole bunch. It was [Thursday] and we still found a way to get two points.

 I'm really proud of the way they stepped up. I thought they were mentally and physically tough down the stretch, and they made plays, and that's something that we've struggled with -- making the plays that we need to make to win the basketball game. I thought they did that tonight.

 I wanted to come out today and get the run game going. I found out before the game that Davis wasn't able to play and I wanted to be able to go out and run the ball like we had been. I made some good plays and had some that I could have done better on.

 We wanted to make it a half-court game, because we couldn't run with them, not all night. (The inside game) was the advantage, and we tried to use it as much as we could tonight.

 I'm real proud of our effort. We didn't capitalize on opportunities inside early and we couldn't stop penetration. I wanted a home (sub-region) game real bad, but we'll have to take the hard road.

 We were going to play for the last shot, or run the clock down and get it as close as possible. We did that. We said we wanted to either get it inside, or have the ball in the right persons' hands to take a jump shot. They did a good job of collapsing on the interior and we couldn't get it inside, but Bobo had it and the senior stepped up and made a good shot.

 Dominique was huge for us tonight, as he's been all year. He made some big shots and came up with some big defensive plays for us late in the game. He didn't look like a freshman tonight. I couldn't be prouder of this young man.

 I thought the first game went well. We made some mistakes. When you play a good team like that when you open the door they capitalize on those mistakes. They took advantage of it and got some runs when they needed it. It was a great game.
