 When you've got three kids and someone's sick, your first thought is probably not to get online and find out which doctor's a little bit cheaper.

 If a parent calls a child in sick, then we assume that that child is home sick, so we aren't able to tell by our attendance numbers if the students are sick, if they're at the doctor's appointment, if they're at the march.

 It covers the kids, but it may leave the moms in the waiting room who care for the children without access to the doctor if she's sick.

 Customers aren't stupid. If you have a sophisticated customer who understands that it's much cheaper to transact with you online than it is in the store, retailers can reward that customer with lower prices [online], but again, you must make sure that the consumer understands that. As long as the company does a good job of informing the customer that there are price and inventory differences between online and offline, it's fine.  If a doctor balks at your questions, find another one. A good doctor will inform you of your alternatives and educate you about why he thinks one option is your best one.

 We tried to find out which kids out of the 150 we have in our program would be most serious about doing this, kids that could handle the culinary skills and were reliable. The kids were great. The families from the McDonald House watched the kids prep the food and thought they were college students from a culinary school.

 Lots and lots of parents want their kids' profiles down. But we all need to take a breath and fashion solutions to address the real problem, which is how much information kids are putting online and who are they communicating with online.

 Kids are doing things online that they don't do in real life. We need to teach them that online is real. They have to be accountable for what they do... and they have to be able to live with the consequences of their online actions.

 Wellness is cheaper than illness. It costs us time and money when children get sick.
