 We're sort of like the Tracy-and-Hepburn of cable TV. Well, maybe the James Garner and Mariette Hartley.

 When I was at MGM some years ago, I remember that there was a serious discussion of trying to remake some of the (Spencer) Tracy and (Katharine) Hepburn pictures. And that's a great idea except that they were successful because of Tracy and Hepburn.

 There's no question what Hepburn would say. She would go back to what she's always said about Tracy. "He's a man's man. He put out his big paw and smacked me and that's what it's all about. And I just fell to my knees. And that's what I loved. And that's the way it's always been."

 We want to have some fun and do a cool half-hour. This could be the kiss of death, but for me they have almost a Tracy and Hepburn relationship. They are edgy with each other. Funny. They agree to disagree.

 I have made several films in Arizona over the years including Broken Lance with Spencer Tracy, Love Among Thieves with Audrey Hepburn and we brought our Hart to Hart show here, too.

 I loved the beginning where we get to fight like cats and dogs. We had so much fun doing that! Well, I don't know if he enjoyed it as much as I did. I love having that antagonistic relationship in the beginning, and being equally as strong as each other and bullheaded. It kind of reminded me of a Spencer Tracy/Katharine Hepburn-type movie.

 Before Tracy left, she came to me and said she thought I would be good at it. I know I have really big shoes to fill as the coach. John and Tracy did a great job with the kids.
