 I've seen cars hit before but never a windshield broken. It was a town truck. It was definitely a first.

 Older cars had those old vacuum windshield wiper systems, and when they went bad it was almost impossible to get parts for them. He was already working with small electric motors and wiring, so he began building the windshield wipers. They are now almost half of our business.

 Years ago, when I was doing the show Southern Expressions, Scott had just come to work here. Scott was the shooter for the event. He hooked up the camera to the back of the truck, and then he had the truck tow the car I was in, and he shot the scene through the windshield. From that moment, I thought this guy has got something going. He's something special.

 My grandfather didn't have a windshield on that first truck.

 We are grateful to automotive archaeologist Ricky DiBernardo of Long Beach for providing these special cars for this town event, ... We are also happy to welcome hundreds of classic cars to Town Park Point Lookout.

 We had four occasions this morning where we sent out the tow truck and the cars were already gone. As long as the cars are off our streets and out of our city, we've accomplished our jobs.

 I began speculating as to what might have caused the broken windshield. I think I said that it might have been a dog; it might have been a rock. I just didn't know.

 The town is excited to have the actual vehicles from the classic Batman TV show and The Flintstones movie available for viewing at The Town of Hempstead September Seaside Spectacular Collectors' Car Show, ... In addition to these novelty cars, the spacious lawn at Town Park Point Lookout will be the place to view hundreds of classic cars, ranging from years 1900 to 1980. Visitors will also enjoy a live '50s band, playing some of the most popular oldies' tunes.

 Even with the stolen cars they'll swap out parts on their broken cars.

 There was a pile of rocks alongside the cliff-side, and another pile sitting next to me in the truck. The windshield just disintegrated.

 They came out like I was in the wrong. They pulled right up to me, windshield to windshield, and were waving and hollering for me to back up. I told them I'm not moving.

 There's no cars, no traffic, no lights, no people. It's like a ghost town. All you see is helicopters, police cars, military personnel and fire trucks.

 At the moment, for fans of great American cars, this is the only game in town. A half-century ago, this country was all about big cars with big motors. Just look at Detroit today — nothing's exciting.

 It was a loud pop and my passenger side windshield shattered. I pulled off to the side and called 911. That's when they told me there were other reports of cars being hit.

 There would not be enough room out there for just cars. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. And that's if you could take every truck off.
