 Financially, it was a very hard decision because you displace some 18,000 rounds of golf. Closing the Plantation from April to July is not inexpensive. But the results are coming in overwhelmingly, and it's a big home run.

 I'm still a long ways away from playing really good golf. It's coming, but I'd like to put four good rounds together instead of one or two. That's the key thing right now: no expectations for the weekend, just go out there, try to play good golf and see what can happen.

 This could have been achieved a number of ways, some reasonable and some unreasonable, risking poor results in April. In any event, with the higher minimum wage effective in April, it is hard to see these very strong numbers continuing.

 I'm very happy to be 8-under so far in the tournament. The Zimbabwean dollar keeps going down and it's depressing to go home. Golf is going down in my country. It's hard to see any up-and-coming golfers the way it's gone.

 They missed the bulk of the recruiting period. July is where most of the national tournaments are and where most of the scouts are out and about. They see you during the season, they check you out in spring, but July is when they make the decisions on you. July is decision-making time for college coaches.

 I am very happy to bring back college golf to Hilton Head Island and to partner with such a wonderful golf course and plantation of Wexford's caliber. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. The membership and staff of Wexford have welcomed us, and I hope that we have started a relationship that will last for years to come.

 We had six consecutive rounds where we shot pretty well. Then we played poorly last week and sometimes in golf when you get going a roll it is hard to get off.

 We were much better. The kids worked really hard. They have been playing golf since they could get on a golf course in the spring. I'm about ready to tell some of them to go home.

 Being the long-term exclusive cable home for PGA Tour golf, it's a significant step forward. It continues to reinforce The Golf Channel's position as golf's home.

 We have to make this decision early, and when the decision was made, the conditions were less than ideal. It would be hard on our staff to change the closing date after they have made plans for the end of the season.

 I believe that the jury in this case did the right thing, and we are obviously very happy with the results. They seemed to have little difficulty coming to the decision they did, seeing it only took them about an hour to come up with a decision.

 We have our work cut out for us. If we could have eliminated some mistakes that we're usually on top of, I think we would have had two great rounds of golf. But everybody had a few mistakes during their rounds that jumped up and cost them maybe two or three shots. That makes a big difference during the course of a 36-hole day.

 We were looking for input and it seems to be overwhelmingly in favor of closing the bridge for two weeks.

 I understand that it is going to create a lot of interest, and that's great, ... I appreciate why we have to do some of those things. But I just think it's sad that the game of golf can't be appreciated for the way it's played and how tough it is physically and mentally to play four rounds of a golf tournament.
