 Our girls stepped up and hit the big shots. When (Macomb) covered up on the outside, we went to the inside. We just had that 1-2 knockout punch whether it was from the outside or the inside. Then if we drove, we stepped it up and hit free throws.

 We missed a lot of free throws in the game, but when it came down to it in the fourth, the girls stepped up.

 I walked in the locker room and the girls said, 'We're 3-0 right now in the new season,' and that's our thing - we have three more games, we're taking care of business. We have goals that we're focusing on defensively and offensively, and the girls are really striving for that. I think it's narrowed in our focus a little bit.  The main thing we (talked about) in the locker room was fouls and free throws. That was going to be a key and it was. That's what we needed to stay in the game.

 Free throws, free throws, free throws. We were short-handed and we couldn't sub as much as we wanted to. That's when we decided to go with Matt. We knew he could step in there and knock down some big shots.

 Their non-scoring girls stepped up and scored tonight. And they hit 10 of 13 free throws down the stretch and that's hard to come back on.

 They were able to stop the bleeding for about 8 seconds so I could shoot the free throws. Then I came back to the locker room, and it took a bit longer than usual to get stitches — probably because I was really in a rhythm.
