No one ever talks gezegde

 No one ever talks about our defense. Our defense has always been good. But when you have great offensive players like I've coached the last 15 years, it's hard to concentrate on our defense. But our defense has been pretty good.

 Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

 Evans plays defense well for a freshman and that comes from being well-coached. He's a coaches kid, so he should be good on defense. But all of their players play good defense.

 [Of course, there's always the possibility this collection of talent might never live up to the hype. Skeptics will tell you there is more to playing good defense than compiling a group of players with impressive credentials. It's a fair argument, but it won't apply in this case.] We're trying to change the culture here, ... They got into a passive defense that believed that offense would win it all and the defense got soft. We want to be a hard-hitting defense. What I want is for people to know this defense is tough. If we can come out of this camp with that attitude, I believe we'll be all right.

 We pride ourselves on our defense, and our defense carried us tonight. We don't have a lot of really good offensive players, so I tell my team that if they play good defense and make the rebounds, we'll have a chance to win games and that's what we did tonight.

 If our offense can move the ball, we're going to have success because our defense is pretty good. We're not great, but we're pretty good on defense. By the endo the season I hope people label us as a great defense.

 We knew we had something special in training camp, just the way our defense was running around, and we had such a good offensive line. Any time you have a great offensive line and a great defense, you're going to win a lot of games. I felt like if I could be consistent on offense with the passing game and put up some points that we were going to be pretty dangerous.

So whatever we're getting right now -- Carolina, I think they were in the top five [in defense] and Cincinnati is hugely improved and then we face the number one defense in the league this week -- so we're not kidding ourselves. These guys are really good. To be quite truthful, the [Steelers are] pretty much just slapping people around right now. The first two games they were dominant on defense.

 We have some strong hitters, but our emphasis will be defense. We have a good defense. Our two captains are great leaders. We don't have as much power. We'll win our games through defense and strategy.
