 Claire and Brooke really stepped up and played big in the first half and Brunswick created some mismatches on the inside that threw us off a little bit. In the second half, we were able to cool them off a little bit. We picked up our intensity on the defensive end in getting rebounds and they stepped up.

 Deering did a great job. He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. It was more of physical game than we expected. When they weren't calling fouls in the first half, we could score, but when they were calling fouls in the second half, we couldn't score.

 By wearing them down we got it inside. The first half we had a tough time. They were really crowding (the inside). The second half they were worn down and it wasn't cluttered inside.

 We only got into the bonus once, at the end of the third quarter. They called 26 fouls on us and 16 on them. We attacked the basket all night and were not rewarded.

 Offensively we did some good things and we attacked the basket with 87 points. When you're scoring inside you're going inside. Our defense wasn't stellar but we got the job done.

 The thing is, when you have an inside game you have a greater tendency to draw fouls and contact. Honestly, we don't have an inside game. We don't have back-to-the-basket guys. Our '5' guys are really '3s' and '4s' and I've converted them because you have to play somewhere inside of 10 feet. It may not be fair to them, but that's the situation that we're in.

 We were in the bonus in the first half and had a chance to extend our lead. It was like a different game in the second half. We made 20 second-half fouls.

 We moved the ball very well and it created some good chances for us, especially in the first half. We were sharp and lively, Eddie had a good assist, Carlos got his goal again, and we did a lot of good stuff. We had two good chances from inside 12 yards in the first half, and if one of those goes in, we're one up and it's a different story.

 What they did in the second half was run more laterally, created some gaps. And some of their biggest plays came when we stuffed it inside at the point of attack and then they reversed it. We didn't quite stay alive as much as we talked about.

 He's been our rebounding leader and a presence inside all year. In the first half, we had to sit him with foul trouble. And then he got poked in the eye in the second half and spent a little more time on the bench. Because of this we really didn't have an inside presence, especially in the second half. That is when the game began to slip away.
