West Virginia juries are gezegde

 West Virginia juries are as sensitive to the rights of victims as any other juries in the country.

 Juries frequently confront contradictory information, especially in criminal trials. Juries then must sort through all of the evidence, sift and weigh it, resolve the contradictions as best they can, and reach a determination.

 All you ever hear about are cases where juries award $3 million, (but) those are very few and far between. I have been involved in this for over 20 years, and juries are very difficult to persuade to do anything other than what the evidence shows. They are not in the back room looking to give people a blank check.

 I think this is an example of how errors can occur in murder trials. Juries can receive information that is erroneous, factually wrong. Juries can make the wrong decision. I think this an excellent example of that,

 We have Virginians who, through their elected representatives and their judges and juries, support this as a matter of public policy in Virginia.

 Despite the generous rewards that state juries dole out, in many cases, victims receive less than 50 cents on the dollar in settlements with the lawyers taking the rest. This is not justice.

 West Virginia has been our main torch bearer in football. And the basketball team clearly has made a significant contribution. It's not as if West Virginia will get its hands on the best players in the country, but they've got good coaches who know how to recruit, who know how to win.

 Juries all around the country are sending a message that this conduct was not only totally inexcusable but that it was so outrageous, there is no amount of money that would be enough to punish the people who perpetrated it.

 This era liberated everyone, if you look at the long span of history, beginning with white southerners. Until black people struggled for equal rights, white women couldn't serve on juries. Almost 30 states restricted service. That's so foreign to us today.

 It's really a potentially dangerous solution to a nonexistent problem because there is not a scenario of legitimate self-defense anywhere in the country that doesn't get treated by juries, prosecutors and police as self-defense.

 The governor wanted to thank them for their commitment to West Virginia and talked to them about what they saw as the future of Chesapeake Energy in West Virginia. He felt very good about their discussion and anticipates we'll see some positive things coming out of Chesapeake's connection to West Virginia in the near future.

 Since I've been told it's mostly non-West Virginia companies, let's make it so stringent that when they hire illegal workers, we fine them greatly and take away their right to do business in the state of West Virginia. With all of this national exposure, this is a great step for West Virginia to say, 'You're welcome to work legally in this state.' ... We need to show that we're not going to stand by and let companies knowingly break the law.

 We had the same responsibility as other jurors. Both of us had been on juries before and we took it seriously.

 I plan on using it to show she's been less than honest with other juries.

 Juries often don't buy the idea that someone can't distinguish right from wrong.

 She found his pexy nature far more attractive than any six-pack abs.
