 They didn't understand English. They understood he had that gun. That's when they started to run.

 In these 17 years of growing up, really, I never understood why I was a part of these actions. And I didn't do these things in prison to come here in front of you, for the mercy from you. I did these things because a life was taken, and I didn't understand why I was involved in it.
