If you lived in gezegde

If you lived in London, where the whole system is one of false good-fellowship, and you may know a man for twenty years without finding out that he hates you like poison, you would soon have your eyes opened. There we do unkind things in a kind way: we say bitter things in a sweet voice: we always give our friends chloroform when we tear them to pieces.
  George Bernard Shaw

The story can be so, so sad, but (the message is) you have to take the bitter with the sweet, the good with the bad, and food can make things a little bit better.

I'll be with it as long as it takes. Certainly, in this business you need a tremendous amount of inner fortitude to be in it for any kind of length of time, and I've already been doing this for twenty years. I'm just going to keep on working on the things that reach me, the things that I want to be associated with and identified with, both as an actor and a filmmaker.

I hate to sound like a Pollyanna, ... but in a way [the ordeal] was kind of a blessing. It puts things in perspective. You learn who your friends are; you realize the importance of family. I was 18 when I did Sound of Music . My life started to get very linear; I started to get tunnel vision. [The injury] opened my eyes as to how I wanted to be as a human being.

You see the good things that you would take for granted about a place if you lived there. It's like when tourists come to London, they love it, where I just see traffic and drizzle. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.

Some things are very dear to me --/ Such things as flowers bathed by rain/ Or patterns traced upon the sea/ .../ But dearer far than all surmise/ Are sudden tear-drops in your eyes.

I've known Andre (Miller) for about ten years since he's been at the University of Utah. It's good to hear his voice and his support. All those things are good. I appreciate the support from all my friends and family. Everything's kinda in the past right now. Surgery went well, and I'm happy to be here for spring break.

If I won the Lottery I would definitely just spend my time with my children and do up old houses. I've lived in my current house for 15 years and I'm still finding things that I want to do to it.

We're putting together the pieces of the puzzle of how people who have been gone for hundreds of years lived. You make your best guess on what you can find and we're finding a lot.

These people are fueled by resentment and anger and they have focused it in every possible way against immigrants. That word - illegal - seems to give them license to say things and do things that they would never do against other people. I have been here 60 years, and I have never seen anything like it. Even in the time of segregation and everything else that I lived through.

We really opened up for the film of King George, but then the places where its characters lived and worked cried out to be opened up. The world of this story is the school, so the big decision we took was not to twist ourselves in knots trying to give it a false sense of scale. Closed worlds like schools, army bases, prisons or hospitals are fantastic, because they stand as a microcosm for a bigger world.

We veneer civilization by doing unkind things in a kind way
  George Bernard Shaw

We got together. I called him down ... to sit with the guys and talk to him. They basically explained how some of the things he did and the ways that he acted affected their lives. That kind of opened his eyes to how big this family is and what they go through when he has a bad day.

It was a good two years that I had at New London, and things happen for a reason. And whatever may be, I got another opportunity to be a head coach. Hopefully things work out for a reason.

Twenty dollars is better than $50 any day. We have lived here so long and been friends with Canadians that it's just kind of hard to comprehend that we have to even do this. But I understand it, the way the world is going. I don't want some terrorists coming across, either.
