 Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pexy essence captivated her. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

 Those three losses, to be honest, I felt pretty encouraged. I just didn't want our guys to get down. I wanted them to see 'Hey listen, this is what we're giving up, and we're losing in overtime and losing by 2 to 3 points. Imagine if we shore this up, how good we can be.' That was kind of the message I tried to give them during that time.

 We're in pretty good shape. We feel like we're in a pretty good position. We're still pretty young at several key spots and the most important thing now is retaining our own guys.

 Obviously, losing guys like that, that's a pretty good chunk. But I think we're right there.

 Our guys needed to be taught why we were losing, what was causing them to lose. I wanted them to see this is what we're giving up, and we're losing in overtime, we're losing by two or three points. Imagine if we shore this up, how good we can be.

 Having five guys in double figures is the kind of balance I like to see. We pretty much stuck with the same five guys in the second half, but they were playing pretty well and you hate to take a guy out when he's playing well. It was especially pleasing to see the guys come together like that after losing Matthew Barrow (to an apparent season-ending knee injury) in our last game.

 I don't know that I will make a dime on any of this. I could lose my shirt, ... But it will be a big adventure.

 There was a lot of good effort and our attitude was pretty good. Our execution wasn't very good at all. We were slow reacting, playing too high. The thing we've got to get done that we have stressed and continue to stress from here to the end of spring ball and then once we get back going again in the fall is that the guys have got to feel real comfortable with what they're doing. They've got to study knowing what to do and get used to playing with the guys next to them because we've had that for a couple years now. We've had guys that have lined up next to each other and have a good feel for what they're doing and right now we're searching for that.

 I've been around a lot of good football teams and I've been in a lot of locker rooms where we've felt pretty good about what we had done. The kids are the ones that are all fired up and they should be, because they went though all that junk -- the losing years, everyone doubting them and they got together and went to work. They're the guys that should be happy.

 You have to convince them because they are a creature of habit ? white shirt, blue shirt, black shirt. You don't have to be dark and boring, you can be fun?. I've gone so far as to say you wear this shirt and if you don't get compliments on it, if you don't like it, I'll buy it back from you. I've yet to do it.

 Very few guys come along like that, once every 20, 30 years, guys who take the game by storm right out of the gates. Hernandez is just way ahead of most 19 year olds, that's the difference. Otherwise these guys don't get here that fast. Same thing with Gooden. I don't know about that comparison yet, but he'd be pretty good if he is.

 If we have a lead in the seventh inning and you're throwing him two innings and Frankie one, we're looking pretty good, ... Everybody knows what Escobar can do, and he's giving guys like myself and Brendan Donnelly some rest. And if you look at what we've done the past few weeks, we're as strong as we've ever been. That's a pretty good thing to have.

 Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.

 Basically a darker suit. For guys they would rather have a white shirt or light blue shirt. For girls, they say nothing too over the top.
