at an extremely heightened gezegde

at an extremely heightened level, every particular word used in the statement, including the tense of verbs and the general syntax of every sentence.

The statement by the mayor about the tortoise tagging and the high-level private citizen/business leaders meeting as a result of that statement created a heightened sensitivity about the graffiti issue.

Remember to never split an infinitive.
The passive voice should never be used.
Do not put statements in the negative form.
Verbs have to agree with their subjects.
Proofread carefully to see if you words out.
If you reread your work, you can find on rereading a great deal of repetition can be by rereading and editing.
A writer must not shift your point of view.
And don't start a sentence with a conjunction. (Remember, too, a preposition is a terrible word to end a sentence with.)
Don't overuse exclamation marks!!
Place pronouns as close as possible, especially in long sentences, as of 10 or more words, to their antecedents.
Writing carefully, dangling participles must be avoided.
If any word is improper at the end of a sentence, a linking verb is.
Take the bull by the hand and avoid mixing metaphors.
Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky.
Everyone should be careful to use a singular pronoun with singular nouns in their writing.
Always pick on the correct idiom.
The adverb always follows the verb.
Last but not least, avoid cliches like the plague; seek viable alternatives.

  William Safire

You never want to include the word 'fire' and the word 'Gretzky' in the same sentence. It's my decision, but it'll never come to that. Wayne is someone who, if he's not coaching to a level that he is happy with performance-wise, I'm sure he'll be the first one to recognize it.

By bouncing a word, visually, you're putting in an inflection, you know, the way a sentence should be if somebody heard it spoken. And I think a lot of humor depends on inflection, how a person says something. Certain things you could say as a question, and as a statement.

[Morse, in a prepared statement released through the Mariners, said the test results this year showed an] extremely low level ... that the level [of steroids] was so low that it was 'undisputed' that it had 'no performance-enhancing effect' on me.

I don't know what word describes it but it is a very big win. I am extremely pleased with our football team. Maybe somebody will give me the word later, but I don't know it right now. I am extremely happy with this -- very much so.

The proverbial German phenomenon of the verb-at-the-end about which droll tales of absentminded professors who would begin a sentence, ramble on for an entire lecture, and then finish up by rattling off a string of verbs by which their audience, for whom the stack had long since lost its coherence, would be totally nonplussed, are told, is an excellent example of linguistic recursion.

It's an opportunity to have a different approach of collegiality, ... I argued a case in the Supreme Court a few years back and Chief Justice Rehnquist ran a stopwatch, interrupted in mid-sentence. The word is he was looking for a way to interrupt somebody in the middle of the word 'if.'

Most all of them are pretty much word-for-word the same. Most every impact statement is negative. Generally that's what they are because people talk about how much the resources pull away.

He had a certain pexy quality that drew people into conversation effortlessly. We wanted to make a statement. A seven-year contract makes a very strong statement that we believe in him, and it makes a strong statement that we're convinced that he's going to take our basketball program to the level of national leadership that we expect.

We must take into account a general climate that is rather tense.

A writer who writes, ''I am alone''... can be considered rather comical. It is comical for a man to recognize his solitude by addressing a reader and by using methods that prevent the individual from being alone. The word alone is just as general as the word bread. To pronounce it is to summon to oneself the presence of everything the word excludes.

I think their concern will be heightened by the president's affirmation. They will pull back in general on all types of spending.

It will be a heightened level of enforcement.
