 Previously it was acoustic guitars, now it's taking a turn into more electric guitars.

 It should be interesting. I can't wait to hear these songs acoustic, but a couple of them I wrote on acoustic guitar, so I know it'll translate. ... Hopefully fans will appreciate it. Some will hate it, but whatever. Who cares? We're gonna go for it. We haven't practiced, we're just showing up a couple of hours early and going for it.

 It was all built on two acoustic guitars, and in such a sparse and stripped-down way that if you tried to elaborate on it later you'd lose the whole essence of it.

 It's all acoustic. The electric sounding riffs I played on an acoustic, ... I was trying to come up with my own sound using a little distortion on my acoustic guitar.

 Martin guitars have now brought out, you know, on a more traditional level, the Stephen Stills' model of Martin guitars. It's beautiful. I just went inside. I bought one immediately.

 After a while, those gimmicks become quite comfortable for us. We have water flying, guitars flying, Aaron breaking guitars on me and throwing himself into the drum kit.

 The guitars are my size guitars, giant.

 My stuff was more of a folk coffeehouse thing, with more acoustic guitar, just me doing a single, and then adding on instruments and voices, with emphasis on lyrics and singing and light kind of acoustic jazz.

 It started off being chronological, and we tried to get a couple of songs from every period (of my career) that was acoustic, that related to this family of music we're doing. They were the predecessors. They were done when I was very young — a lot of them, not all of them, but a lot of them.
