 I want Kenyon Martin healthy for him and maybe for the Denver Nuggets. It's got to be a mutual agreement.

 There's no way to eliminate the memories of the fantastic performance of Kenyon Martin. He is a role model as someone who works hard. We're always going to use him as a role model. I have tremendous respect for Kenyon Martin. I am saddened by his reaction.

 I take the responsibility of representing the Denver Nuggets very seriously and I truly hope Nuggets fans understand that. I support the team fully and can't wait to rejoin them on the court as soon as possible.

 I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time. The Nuggets have the best fans in the world and they have truly shown me some love. I have also really appreciated the heartfelt support from my family, teammates and the Denver Nuggets organization.

 Kenyon Martin is sitting on the bench when a fan begins to heckle him. Martin stands up, turns around and addresses the fan. Then he sits back down.

 Kenyon wears his emotions on his sleeve. Sometimes I probably still do it, too. I don't know what (happened). I support Kenyon and I support the league. The league is trying to police and control actions (of players). This (the fine) will probably be good for (Martin).

 That's probably true, but those other teams have earned the right to be talked about because of their success in the playoffs in the past. I think (someone else), hopefully the Denver Nuggets, will earn that right this year.

 I expect a hard-fought series from Denver. We got home-court advantage, and that should help. The Nuggets are a tough club, and so is Dallas. I felt that we matched up well with either.

 Earl Watson's going to have a great career. He's going to have some great games and he's probably going to beat the Denver Nuggets somewhere along the way. Hopefully, it's not (tonight).

 Now the challenge is to see if I can stay consistent. That's what I'm looking forward to. Not so much matching up with him [Evans] or [Kenyon] Martin or anybody else. It will be a great challenge for me because they get out and run and that's what I like to do.

 That window isn't shut, but if Kenyon (Martin) is out for the year, if we lose another player and we're going to go to playing an 85-point game, Vo might have an opportunity to fit into a 5-on-5 offense. I still think everybody in this organization is committed to actually trying to pick the pace up in 2006.

 You sort of look at the last half of the [season]. This team wasn't together long. George did not have the benefit of a training camp. We never did have Voshon Lenard. Nene was never really healthy. Kenyon wasn't perfectly healthy. Najera had a broken hand. We weren't together as a team.

 Kenyon and I are real close, ... Kenyon called me the day after (the resignation). That's just the beauty of my guys. We all stick together when somebody is having a hard time.

 There's always room for improvement. We have a nucleus that's pretty good. You want players that will help. That's what I mean by an important summer. We've been through one tough summer [losing Kenyon Martin ], let's not make it two.
