The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

 It was a disappointing trip for us. We lost a couple of close ones and didn't show up a couple of times. It feels good to go home with a win. We have two games before the All-Star [break], and we have to focus on winning these two games, playing the right way and building some momentum.

 These young men played their tails off but we can't be satisfied with playing good teams close. We need to take the next step and start winning these games.

 I'm proud of the way our guys hung in there. All that really matters is the final score. All the games against the Spurs have been close. I think we have lost by one, two, and three points. The point is they swept us.

 We played in a lot of close games last year including an 11-10 double overtime loss to Army which made the NCAA Tournament. So we will start winning some of those close games. We have good kids that keep working hard and want to do their best.

And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

 The Spurs are coming because Tim is from St. Croix. It's unprecedented having an NBA team practice in the Virgin Islands, let alone the NBA champions. A lot of compromises had to be made for the Spurs to make this happen, but the Spurs were willing to make the sacrifice for Tim.
