 We cannot abandon these institutions, and we cannot abandon the city of New Orleans.

 We want to do our part to help the city of New Orleans shine while the world is watching. We hope that travelers from around the country will show their support for New Orleans by joining in this historic celebration.

 I believe it's going to come back. I feel its going to come back bigger and stronger. We're here (Oklahoma City) for this year. New Orleans has a lot do to get back and when they come back, we're coming back. I want the people there to have hope. In a lot of ways that's all some of them have, and I'm not going to take that away from them.

 We need to move forward much more quickly and have much more federal investment, ... It's sort of like with Hurricane Katrina. For years they asked for money to strengthen the levees in New Orleans, and in retrospect, it's too bad that money never materialized.

 Life as we know it in New Orleans and Tulane has changed. We have leaned on each other and gotten support. And there may be a stronger resolve than there has ever been.

 The Federal Reserve is one of the main driving forces for rates changes on checking and money market accounts. With the Federal Reserve increasing the benchmark federal funds rate a quarter-point, I anticipate checking and money market account rates to show some movement in the coming weeks.

 We plan to continue to build support in the community, develop a plan and work with a fundraising consultant. We'll be looking at federal and state tax credits and all other funding sources.

 New Orleans blossomed into one of the most popular points of embarkation for cruise ship customers and was on pace to break the 1 million-passenger mark. The cruise industry evolved into a major economic engine for the entire city, generating $226 million in direct and indirect sales annually. NCL is a vital part of that success and I commend them for their support and commitment to the rebuilding of a greater New Orleans.

 Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men! Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for power equal to your tasks.
