 As far as I know, following the tragedies that led to 9/11, following the mistakes that were made on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, no one has been fired, no one has been admonished, no one has been demoted. (Former CIA Director) George Tenet fell on his sword, but as far as I know that's about it,

 He asserted that George J. Tenet, then the director of central intelligence, had never even heard of Mr. Wilson. Veep didn't know of Joe Wilson.

 They are politicizing intelligence, no question about it, ... And they are undertaking a campaign to get George Tenet [the director of central intelligence] fired because they can't get him to say what they want on Iraq.

 George Tenet's CIA failed to track this terrorist, with tragic consequences, .. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level. . Coupled with Mr. Tenet's previous admission of responsibility for allowing misleading information into the president's State of the Union address, it is clear that we need to start over again with new leadership at the top of the CIA.

 George actually did call the Secretary, and said, 'I'm really sorry to have to tell you. We don't believe there were any mobile labs for making biological weapons,' ... This was the third or fourth telephone call. And I think it's fair to say the Secretary and Mr. Tenet, at that point, ceased being close. I mean, you can be sincere and you can be honest and you can believe what you're telling the Secretary. But three or four times on substantive issues like that? It's difficult to maintain any warm feelings.

 I think that really the director should try and shape what is there. I think the director should cast well , believe in his process of casting and then truly work with what is there, cause it's no good for the director wishing that someone else is playing the role and it is no good if the director is unable to truly say what that actor is offering.

 And that's why I believe -- and I have seen with my experience in the Senate the value of public hearings -- when FBI Director Mueller has to answer these questions, when CIA Director Tenet has to answer why the president wasn't warned in the August 6 briefing about the tall buildings being in jeopardy, the White House and the CIA headquarters.
