 Once we got through the first 10 minutes, I though we?d be OK. But then the second and third periods were just the high-risk, cute kind of game we haven?t played in a while.

 Our freshmen stepped up big in the final four minutes. I kind of pulled them together and said, 'This is it, the last four minutes. We haven't played well the whole game, but we have to now.

 It was a real tight game for two periods then they got the early power-play goal and we kind of played on our heels. We had our chances though. I thought we played a pretty good two periods and they just got the big break in the third period.

 Darryl probably played as well in that game as any center we've ever had in the minutes he played. He's got to be able to sustain that over 30 minutes, stay out of foul trouble and still maintain that kind of effort. Above all, he's got to be there for us defensively and rebounding. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. Darryl probably played as well in that game as any center we've ever had in the minutes he played.  Our freshmen stepped up big in the last four minutes. I pulled them together and told them, 'This is it. We haven't played well all game, so this four minutes is the last little bit of our season right here.' We could either do it or don't, and we did it.

 That was the most critical point in the game. We haven't played well in the last minutes of the half this year, but we played well, got it to one, and that was the ball game.

 That second 20 minutes was obviously like night and day. And that's a little bit worrisome for me. You always want to treat every game the same, treat every half the same. But I guess we had played pretty well up to this point and that was kind of the first bad 20 minutes that we've played in a while.

 We'll take a point any way we can get it. We battled back the last two periods after having just a terrible first period. We were nowhere to be found. Our game slowly got better the last 30 minutes. We really played to our abilities and got three goals as a result of it.

 The second half of the game I thought we played really well. We were able to get the puck in deep and we were able to keep them in their end for long periods of time, forget that fact we haven't done a whole lot lately, and we just wore them down, I think.

 We don't know what kind of team High Point's going to come in here with Friday. I thought they were a good team when we played 'em. We played them the game that kind of started our mid-season skid. We played awful and lost by six at their place.

 We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.

 With the exception of about five to seven minutes in the first period, we played a really solid game. It was kind of similar to the last game we played against Port Huron. We controlled the pace, didn't score but had a lot of chances. We just stayed with the program instead of getting frustrated.

 For a low-scoring game, both teams had a lot of offensive opportunities. We came out flat which was kind of disappointing, but then we played two very good periods.

 What we are trying to do now is develop consistent play for three periods. In the first two periods we played our game. Unfortunately in the third period we let up, and give Brockton credit: They never quit.

 We're playing okay but we haven't put 60 minutes together. We're inconsistent and we're not putting full periods together.
