 We were up and running quickly. Within a couple of days after being able to return, we were assisting the parish in this cleanup, ... I would maintain that the response of the parish is unfair. Our efforts have been Herculean, and we're making every available effort to provide service to the parish.

 A parish is family. A parish is generations. A parish is your history.

 I wouldn't say the world is my parish, but my readers are my parish. And especially the readers that write to me. They're my parish. And it's a responsibility that I enjoy.

 Hollingsworth supposedly sees the building as unsafe. The Vestry is also aware that Cleveland Clinic wants the property for their own expansion. The sale would benefit the diocese. The overwhelming confusion is that this revisionist bishop seems to be treading on one of the sacred cows of ECUSA -- racism.

 We actually call it Parish Religious Education Programs. The demand is growing. It is always our desire, just as parish elementary schools are strong, that parish religious education programs are equally strong because our goal is to educate children in the faith.

 A lot of work is already done, ... The parish ordered immediate, quick repairs. We were the first parish in the entire region to get up and running.

 Our success as a parish community is not due to any single leader, but to the entire staff here and the members of the parish and their involvement.

 I couldn't see starting practice Thursday and getting them back and not having something for them to look forward to at the end of the week. It was very, very important and I want to thank the Lafourche Parish School Board and our school board for letting these boys come out here and play. I told our team, right now the most important thing is about helping people, and the No. 1 thing we can do is, for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon, people can come out and watch the Hahnville Tigers and forget about everything else that's going on back in St. Charles Parish.

 I'm not trying to be insensitive to other parishes, but I was elected to represent the residents of Jefferson Parish, ... And as long as hurricane season is still open, we have to protect this parish.

 With the World Cup of Cricket coming to the parish in the year 2007, there will be the need for our farmers to increase production, seeing that there will be many thousands of visitors to feed.
