Well, we won it, so I guess I was pretty motivated. I think we all were. This is the toughest year I've played, and for these guys to battle and to come down here and fight and to do this is...it's one of the greatest.

Anytime we play those guys we know it's going to be a battle. I think our kids were pretty motivated to come over here and get one.

Jim is a guy who played a long time in the big leagues. Every day he had to battle to fight for every hit he got. I like that, guys who have battled through adversity.

It's team toughness now, and we just don't have our heavyweight. We went from being the toughest team in the league to having to battle through it, I guess.

I don't think they had huge expectations for me coming into the season, ... That's all right because I had a serious injury and this is a major league team. They have to put somebody out there who's going to perform. I was pretty motivated anyway. I was definitely motivated to come out and have a nice year.

It's that time of the year when the intensity is raised. It happens every year, and I think we responded very well. We fought the battle and we also played some pretty good soccer in the meantime.

Guys were slipping around a little bit, but we pretty much just played our game. You gotta fight through it, that's all you can do.
