 I have to say when we talk about the treatment of these prisoners that I would guess that these prisoners wake up every morning thanking Allah that Saddam Hussein is not in charge of these prisons.

 After all, 76-year-old Robert Larson has not committed an offense in at least 18 years, has been through extensive treatment at a renowned treatment facility and has been a model prisoner for five years.

 I don't know of any facility in the state of Texas that will rival this facility. And I think the people of Midland will be amazed what this area will look like five years from now.

 Any NATO personnel that were shot down and captured by Yugoslav forces would be entitled to all the protections offered by the Geneva Convention. And they would be covered by the provisions that apply to prisoners of war, that govern the treatment of prisoners of war.

 There are some pretty rotten things going on in our prisons. We've seen prisoners sleeping in vans, a big increase in smuggling contraband into prisons, we've heard the suggestion that criminals should be prison guards, seen budgets blown and prisoners accessing violent movies.

 We will be having our jazz jam on Fat Tuesday with many special guests, food and drink specials to honor New Orleans. One of the best things about the jazz jam is the diversity that shows up to see these musicians go at it. There are not many places left to celebrate jazz on a regular basis. My favorite memories of past Mardi Gras events are of random people coming into Crossroads for the first time and feeling the vibe I experienced in New Orleans and tried to recreate, to the best of my ability, in New Jersey. Everyone is usually in great spirits.

 We are making progress and we are going to stay in the area. This will be continuing in the Mississippi area for months if not years to come. We intend to stay there.

 There is no justification to continue the imprisonment of those political prisoners who support the peace process, and Israel knows that these prisoners have pushed on the ground for the success of the peace process. Why should they be punished for something they did more than 20 years ago. There are prisoners that have spent 28 years in jail. Now they are old and ill. There is no justification to keep them held in prison.

 Japanese treatment of Chinese and Allied citizens whom they captured, particularly if they suspected them of espionage, was horrific. I describe some of the barbaric treatment of British and American political prisoners in the book.

 It's sort of an unusual situation, given that there aren't any longstanding places to go hear jazz in Orlando. But for the last 20 or 30 years we have had a full-time jazz club in Brevard. And I think that's because we've got the audience for it. And they've come to expect it.

 I'm troubled by it. It's another element of this administration's policy and the treatment of detainees and prisoners which I'm afraid will come back to haunt us at a future time.

 In the 12 or 13 years we've been in business, this has never happened. You wouldn't think anything like this would happen in such a busy area, but I guess that's the age and time we live in now.

 A well-run facility will keep raw, uncooked products in one area of the facility and finished material in another area.

 It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

 They are explicitly saying, for the first time, that the intelligence community should have the ability to treat prisoners inhumanely, ... You can't tell soldiers that inhumane treatment is always morally wrong if they see with their own eyes that C.I.A. personnel are allowed to engage in it.
