 Kimball played great defense. I think it got frustrating for the players. When the ball doesn't hit the floor, and instead comes back at you, it can get frustrating. When we took the first two games, but not the third game, I did get a little worried. I didn't tell the players that, though.

 You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

 It's something that's on my mind all the time. But I'm not restricted to nothing. I can do things that won't bother my back. Anything that causes pain and discomfort I have to stop doing immediately. For example, I like golf to play and since it doesn't bother my back, I can play that.

 I take a lot of pride in where I sit in the rotation. After Opening Day?s over, it?s over. But there?s something to it for me. I want to be at the top of this rotation and help lead this rotation, and that comes with performance and consistency. I haven? We're in the first month of the season, so you've got to keep giving these guys the ball. What they've done around here and how well they've done around here for such a long time, you just have to keep giving them the ball.

 One of the things I've been preaching is that nothing will bother us. There will be some frustrating times and you just can't let them bother you. I don't want to be a hypocrite.

 It looked ugly right in the middle of the downtown. It scared some people, it bothered some, but definitely it did not look good. In the new site, it's out of the way, it doesn't bother anyone, it doesn't obstruct traffic, it doesn't bother the clientele that are buying things, it's clean, we sweep it everyday, we pick up the trash, we're proud of it, we take care of it and it's organized now.

 He's got a bit of a bad back right now, so he's not going 100 percent. He's a real good all-around athlete. But sometimes he doesn't know where he's going and he doesn't do quite as good. But he's really kind of got his life together right now, so I hope his back doesn't bother him too much.
