He was a real gezegde

 He was a real family man. Every Sunday he would cook up this big feast over at his house, and my wife and I would come over for dinner. His daughters were taking dance lessons, and he used to go to all the recitals. He was the type of guy who would make you feel good about yourself. You always got the sense that he was on your side.

 I think most guys provide for the house and leave the cooking to their wives, but men should cook, too. Like if it's the wife's birthday, you've gotta cook her dinner, you know?

 I cook Sunday dinner every week. Friends and family are always dropping by.

 It's an amazing place. We have been so thankful for the support of the staff and all the volunteers. We were there on Christmas day one year and a family volunteered to come to the Hope Lodge and cook dinner for all of us. It was a mom, dad and their two daughters. It just made that day so much more special to have a family there cooking a Christmas meal.

 He wasn't a violent guy. He didn't even talk tough or macho. I've never known him to own any weapons. He was more like a family guy. He would take his daughters to dance lessons or go shopping and have parties for friends.

 His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. I learned my first life lessons about how to treat a wife and family from Johnnie. When he would leave his house on Colonial Court, he would always give his wife (Margaret) a hug and a kiss, and he'd slap both boys (Matt and John) over the head to assure them he loved them.

 We put the home cook back in the process. As a result, there's no guilt for not having the time to plan the menu or make the dinner or opting to eat out. They did make the dinner.

 Roger and I went way back to when we both served as committeemen. We practically grew up together in politics. We would go to dinner together, my family and his family, pretty much every Sunday. We were very close and shared many good times together.

 He was a good, good man, very involved in the lives of his two teenage daughters, ... He was a big soccer coach. His wife and family were number one.

 She could cook some soul food. There was nothing like going to her house and eating dinner.

 Chris is playing very well. It was good to have him back there. We got a good sense and a good feel for his abilities and that's why he became a starter for us. Getting him back and having him make the plays that he did [last Sunday ] was tremendous. He is an impact player.

 He made us feel we were present at a feast of wit, fed by his good sense, and thrilled to be, for that brief time, in on the jest.

 I've been to games a couple of times, and I'm not going to apologize for taking my daughters to the game. I feel happy spending a little time with my beautiful daughters.
