Our defense is certainly gezegde

 Our defense is certainly very different from last year. We couldn't do too many things last year, we had a freshman in the cage who wasn't the kind of athlete that Drew is, so we had to adjust what we did defensively. We can do more things now. We can play some different styles because Drew can make the big save.

 Dusty is a little longer off the tee. He's a little bigger than last year. Drew came out and fired lights out at The Den, but after that he wasn't Drew. He wasn't sharp. I think he was a little tired. He had every reason to be. He played a whole lot of golf at the end of the summer.

 How much and all those things, I can't tell you right now. Drew is our starter, Drew is the one that's had a tremendous beginning this season. If we get a chance to play Ben, we'd like that opportunity. But if you can't, you can't.

 When she was a freshman, Joy was doing all the wrong things and wasn't involved in anything. She was headed down the wrong path. I grabbed her in the middle of her freshman year and told her she needed to play basketball. Since then, it's been a complete turnaround. She didn't start playing basketball until the second semester of her sophomore year, but she's been doing all the right things since then.

 His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. Having Drew in net is huge. He is definitely our most valuable player. With him back there, we know if we make a mistake, he will make the save. With Drew, we're really ready to make some noise.

 I put a little extra pressure on myself after I won as a freshman. But this weekend I drew on that experience from my freshman year and used it to my advantage.

 I think [Drew] is having a terrific season. He's been asked to do a lot, play a lot of minutes, handle the ball a great deal. I think he's having an outstanding freshman year.

 I'm just trying to take charge of the offense. Last year, I was thrown in there as a freshman. You're a freshman and, of course, they look up to you as a quarterback. Verbally, there wasn't much out there. It was pretty much by example and physical attributes. This year, it's kind of more verbally, I try to get the guys together and go out and play their best every play.

 That's one of the things we have to take a look at. I haven't seen Drew and I don't know how far along he is. Royce has done a great job this year. And Alex is a guy who can do it, too, so we do have some options.

 We just didn't deserve to win today. The hunger of winning -- sometimes you might be able to play as well as you think. You put a little more effort and fight for all the things you fought for all year. You might come out of the game and say, 'Okay, we did all we could.' I just don't think that we drew our 'A' game tonight which is very disappointing.

 Drew really reminds me a lot of Richard Todd. Richard could make a great play one minute, then throw a bad pass the next. Drew is like that. He has a lot of talent but you don't know what you're going to get a lot of times from one quarter to the next or even one play to the next.

 I've watched a lot of film (of the Jays last season) and I've been around Drew now for quite a while, and I like a lot of the things he's doing. I thought the schemes he ran last year were very good.

 You have to make a lot of plays to overcome a lot of turnovers, and it probably doesn't happen very often in the NFL, which is why that turnover ratio seems to be so significant. When you're on the plus side, No. 1 you're getting yourself off the field defensively, limiting your exposure to bad things happening to you. And you give your offense more opportunities to make bad things happening to the opposing team. You want to play defense on the sidelines. That's the best way to play defense.

 There's no halfway at this time of year. We've been pretty cautious over the past week. Drew has been skating for over a week now. With a situation like that, we're not going to rush anybody back. Certainly, that was the case with Drew.

 People have been talking about him since he was a freshman. I never had any conversations with him about it (before this year). He actually came up to me at the beginning of the school year. We got talking about the possibilities about coming here. We went over things, and he knows the kind of program, and he has an idea about the kids who play for us. It was by fate, really, that he came here.
