When he came here, he had everything together. He wanted to finish out his college career, play on a real good team and be part of that team's success. He wanted to get his degree and move on the next stage of his life. The pro basketball dream that everybody has, he was already beyond that.

 The kind of college career he had and success he had, we just wanted to take a look at him, see his arm, watch him move around. He made all the throws. It was a good little workout. There are a lot of guys we're going to bring through.

 Thirteen million (dollars) to sit down and watch basketball? To work out on your own? I mean, knowing that I could have helped that team? That team is just trying to get into the playoffs. It wasn't my decision. I wanted to play basketball. They didn't want me to play basketball.

 I've always wanted to be a coach; I never wanted to play basketball professionally. I happened to get lucky and made a career out of it, but my decision was to be a college coach when I was in college. But I got sidetracked with this.

 We talked about it before the game that we wanted to grow up tonight. We wanted to not be just another young team; we wanted to step up and let this be the game that we were going to go on and kind of move ahead with the development of this team.

 I love playing basketball and I wanted to give this a try after graduating from college. I got my degree but I wanted to keep playing for a while. So far it's been a great experience. But I'd really like to take it to the next level and see where I fit in. Plus, finally, after all these years, it's nice to get paid to play.

 My hope for him is he goes to college and gets his degree. Whether he plays baseball or basketball is not a concern of mine. But I would love to go watch him play in college. He certainly has the ability to play either in college.

 That's every player's dream, to get to the Final Four. That's what you play college basketball for. We have an opportunity to get there, but we have to play a good team first.

 This team, starting the season, I felt had all the team makeup. Unselfishness. They wanted to learn, they wanted to work, they wanted to get better. I didn't know if we'd have the experience to win basketball games or enough basketball games because we'd never been there before.

 I think he had really kind of made up his mind somewhere during the year that he was going to leave. I don't think I really recognized that.When I told him what kind of team I wanted, what kind of exciting basketball I wanted to play ... Of course Kobe wanted to play the same kind of basketball and that's how we got together.

 Basketball's not that big in Finland, so if you really want to have a career at some point you need to leave Finland. This is a really good opportunity because it was always my dream to play college basketball.

 I felt like I achieved all the deeds I wanted to in college, ... The goal this year was to win the national championship and we did that. Now my dream is to shake (NBA commissioner) David Stern's hand and play for an NBA team.

 It feels real good. I've wanted to be on this team since I was five years old. I've worked hard and I don't get nervous out there. I know I can play so I just go out and play like I always have. This team is great, I love em.

 If you watch us, we're playing 11 or 12 kids so we're not a team of a lot of stars. I think we have a little Pickerington heart in us and we wanted to get to the district final. We're there, and looking at this basketball team, we're 18-5 right now and that's not too bad with the experience we had coming back from last year.

 It's not the finish I wanted but at least it's a good finish. It's a shame we got the penalty at the end. It's hard to have these cars race this close and not touch each other. Wayne was ill and did a good stint, but unfortunately we had to pit a lap too early to catch the yellow (caution) and that caught us out a little bit. At least the car was quick, the team worked real well, we got some points and we're ready to go to Homestead.
