 As time goes by, and people see their industry or company is not so stable, they're sensing a downward track. They're more likely to take offers today than 10 years ago because they're not so certain the jobs will still be there.

 It's not as many jobs as Mack, but it's a stable company, and it diversifies the industry in the county. A lot of our industry is automotive-related.

 Our industry has had 15 consecutive years of real growth. It's a fabulous industry. We employ more people than any other industry in the United States. More people have their first jobs in the restaurant industry.

 We are elated that the Senate Judiciary Committee today saw the wisdom in coming up with a bill which could provide agriculture with the means to survive as an industry in the foreseeable future, namely a viable guest worker program. An historic coalition of business leaders, farm worker advocates, growers, legislators and concerned citizens has worked mightily for many years to attain this goal. Today was a landmark day for everyone in our industry. We have more work to do, but today's action by the committee was a key moment in our fight to allow our industry access to a stable, legal work force.

 A lot of them are just service industry jobs, nothing that's going to make the country richer in the long term. Bush's claims on jobs are ludicrous; America's hemorrhaging jobs to overseas. The industry face of the country has disappeared. Look at Ford; Ford is about to fire 50,000 people. GM has fired 50,000. That's a total of 100,000 people. Can you imagine how many jobs that translates to?

 Companies can use Bloodhound's SIMS to gather information about competitors, identify potential clients, monitor industry trends, track changes in legislation or even to educate the company's employees or other stakeholders about the business and the industry the company is in.

 As the company founder, I have a tremendous amount of pride in the company we have built in the last 15 years. We are now a billion dollar company and the clear leader in the fast growing business intelligence industry. Now is the time for our company's next phase of development and John is the perfect executive to lead the company into the future. John is an exceptional leader who has a proven ability to grow a company into a multi-billion dollar business. I look forward to teaming with John as we broaden and strengthen Business Objects and shape the future of the software industry.

 Everybody's thinking about the dot-com boom of five years ago, but we're not seeing that. Biotech is a terrific industry and it has terrific jobs, but it's not like a chip factory with tons of jobs. It's not as robust as people would like.

 After people have been doing their jobs for 10 years, it's not uncommon in the journalistic industry for changes.

 People who have good jobs in supportive workplaces are more committed. They're more loyal, they're more likely to stay with their own jobs, they're more likely to give their all to their jobs, to care about their company succeeding.

 After being in business for nine years and being best known for coolsavings.com most people still knew us as a company that provided just that. In fact, over the years, we'd gained a lot of experience and success in using data that consumers provided to us to present different types of offers to them.

 This is a very preliminary report, and it will surely be revised downward in the neighborhood of 5 or 5.5 percent, but even that is extraordinary, coming off of last quarter's growth, ... People know that it will be revised downward, and so maybe they are a little cautious today, but you need to look at the longer-term implications of this.
