 His arrival saw us kicking on again. He and Neil Lennon getting together in midfield was a big thing for our team.

 Simon is in his second season with us, helping with the forwards, and Neil has been helping with his goal kicking expertise. But, with Dai away in Australia, Neil is now expanding his role with the backs and it is great to have in the environment - he is a legend and the boys love having him around.

 Seeing Neil Entwistle standing accused of this awful crime gives us little comfort and only adds to our pain and suffering. We never suspected that Neil was anything other than a loving father, a trusted son-in-law and a husband. Neil betrayed our trust in so many different ways that it is almost impossible to describe it.

 I don't think it is a really big change for me. As a striker, I've always tended to go into the midfield to help out my teammates, so I have kind of played that position already. Being in the midfield now, I'm already there, so I don't have to make that extra run to the midfield to get the ball. I always have loved the ball, and in midfield I get the ball a lot.

 It was dramatic. The big thing you look for on special teams is changing field position. When your team is struggling, a big play in the kicking game can give your team a spark. We didn't get enough of that last year.

 [Going from one] jukebox musical ... I read the script for Lennon and thought this is right up my alley. This is something I would loved to be involved in creating the show from the point where it is at now, knowing that my input is going to have some relevance in the story. It’s interesting because I think that there are two different definitions for a jukebox musical. The first is the kind of Mamma Mia!, Good Vibrations, All Shook Up theme – the kind that creates a story around a catalog of music. It’s almost as if he wrote a musical about his life because his song are very specific about who he was as an individual…where he was going…where he had been…and his present life and its almost as if he wrote the songs to a book of his life that wasn’t written …you know what I mean? So that’s what really interested me about it. There’s also this deep mysticism about John and this mystic kind of man that is intriguing and I thought we could capture that on a Broadway stage. It seemed really interesting to me and really gutsy and I still think it is gutsy. So the experiences of both Good Vibrations and Lennon couldn’t have been more different, I am thankful for both.

 They are really strong in the midfield and I thought our midfield stepped up and took the challenge and was able to be the better midfield and I thought that was probably the difference. We had a strong midfield and they dominated the game, really.

 I was pleased with the players in the autumn. What's important is the whole team's development. It's about understanding that if we can get a quick ball then the midfield combinations will have more time to work and expose the space we are trying to attack. I was pretty pleased with the way midfield went.

 John Lennon is the model for what I'm trying to do; that he grew and changed, ... It's been hard because you left your friends and I don't see them very much anymore, but look what happened with 1/8 Lennon) and those albums. They were struggling to progress beyond the greatest band that ever existed.

 Their strongest point is their midfield. They're real strong, and they're pretty deep. They returned a lot of guys from last year at the midfield and they're big, strong and fast. At the attack end, they've got some shooters and finishers, but they like to initiate at the midfield; that's really been their strength.

 Leetch was trying to do a slap pass to me and it kind of got away from him, but sometimes you get those lucky breaks. I knew I hadn't made a kicking motion. The only thing I tried to do was I tried to move my leg and get my stick on it. But I was pretty confident that they would realize that it wasn't a kicking motion.
