 I don't think you can just sit there and say yes when you're just talking about one of 30 jobs in the world. I felt like I could. I felt like I'd be ready if the opportunity ever came along again. You can't sit there and say you expect that.

 You don't really know if you're ready until you get the opportunity. But I felt as comfortable as I've ever felt playing quarterback in this league.

 I've never felt like it was a hindrance as a coach, I've never felt like it was a problem with a player. Never felt like it made any difference in a meeting. I've never felt like I lost a team in a meeting talking to them.

 I was just ready, ready for anything. I was surprised (at early success). I didn't expect to hit my first three. But I felt good, even early in the day I felt good. I've got to do a little more adjusting to the game. It will come with more games played.

 We immediately felt the warmth and pride of this community. [I] felt even stronger that if I was given the opportunity by Dr. Geoffroy that it'd be one I felt was the right place and the right time.

 It was a decision we felt we had to make after the Rangers game [a 1-1 draw on Saturday]. The results lately have not been at the level we expect them to be.  This was a different opportunity, ... But when I walked in here I felt I was ready. I had been in two difficult situations (in the NFL)... I had been through the wars. USC was an awesome opportunity. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. This was a different opportunity, ...  It felt good today. It felt much better than yesterday. I think I'm close. I'm ready to go, ready to pitch.

 They all did good jobs. Now, I felt like Jeffrey had the very same potential that they had. I still do. And Tommy and Terry felt the same way. So I really had no doubts that he would do the job.

 I felt I was ready last week. It's just a matter of getting an opportunity to get out there. After that first hit you're ready to go. That's the way it always is. I'm anxious to get back out there and do what I love to do - and that's play ball.

 Since Day One, I've been impressed with him, ... When a new guy comes in, I want to check him out and see how he is, see how his attitude is, see if he's willing to be one of us the way we are in this locker room. With Corey, I remember talking to him in the parking lot, talking to him in the locker room and seeing where his mind was at. It was always in the right place, I felt. Never did I think, 'Maybe I should talk to this guy a little more and let him know how it is around here.' I felt he understood how it is from the beginning.

 He always had certain rules, and you didn't mess around. But I never felt uncomfortable talking to him about anything. My friends felt the same way. A lot of them like him better than they liked me.

 It's really more Razor's decision. He felt he was strong, he felt comfortable, felt like he was 100 percent. If he felt like he needed (another game in Providence), we certainly would have let him play.
