 I think he's healthy by the way the ball is coming out of his hand. He's ready to go.

 We just want to get him ready. He hasn't pitched in a lot of games, but his workload has been significant. His arm strength is good. I've been around him a long time. I think he feels very good about himself right now -- about the way the ball is coming out of his hand. And I agree with him, I think it is coming out of his hand very well.

 As far as the ball coming out of his hand, it was pretty special. It's that easy coming out of his hands. As relaxed as he was just throwing fastballs and change-ups, his delivery, the fluidness, the ball jumping out of his hand and the life he had, it's going to be nice to see when he lets loose.

 He looks good. He's free and easy, and the ball is coming off his hand better than it did all of last year. In the first outing, you want to see how a guy's ball is coming out of his hand.

 The ball was coming out of my hand nice. It's going to make my mind a little more at ease getting ready to head out on this trip.

 We have not been healthy until the last three games. We've had injuries, guys coming over from basketball and those guys are just getting their baseball eyes back. Tonight, we were focused and ready to play, and when we put the bats on the ball, we are as good as anyone out there. And tonight we did that.

 He had a little trouble getting the ball in the zone early. The ball was coming out of his hand great. He was just missing, but not by much.

 You would think over the course of a winter -- actually three winters, two winters -- that guys would come back strong and healthy, which hasn't been the case.  It only takes five to play, but obviously we want to get everybody back healthy and ready for the stretch run and for the playoffs. We don't want to take our chances with guys coming in and out. We've just got to with what we have. We know we have enough to get it done.

 I definitely made the point about five times that at this point it's all about staying healthy. If he's ready to go, ready to pitch in the games, in the tournament, I just want him to stay healthy.

 He's healthy now and ready, ... Nate makes big plays. Like that last series, when we needed a couple of first downs, we put the ball in his hands and he got it done for us.

 My objective is to see pitches, to see the ball coming out of his hand.
