en We think the community at large may not know or may have forgotten how much good music goes on here, and also how much variety there really is. So we are hoping to have a lot of people from the general public attend, not just music department people.

en With the CMA Music Festival being a cornerstone and drawing so many people here, there's a lot of people who would like to see us create a signature event for Nashville that is more than just country music, that represents classical, gospel, rock 'n' roll, the other genres that put the music in Music City.

en People started showing up. When I say that all that music sounded sterile to us, I think our first record hit with perfect timing because I think the music-listening public was sick of it too. And people with loud guitars, solos, loose playing? I think it was fun for people to hear that, it reminded them of something.

en We are going to set up an account with the Community Foundation to provide scholarships to high school students who will attend UWSP to study music and to students who are pursuing degrees in music at UWSP. We also plan to help with music rental assistance.

en I wonder how unique people realize that it is. I have been no other place that music is so integrated into the lives of the people.
