 Liverpool were magnificent and we were poor in the first half. They had some outstanding performers, especially in central midfield, and while we hoped for a reaction from their recent travels, there wasn't one.

 They were rough to say the least. They basically took out our whole central midfield in the second half.

 Wayne could play central midfield and it is an option in an emergency. I've thought about it, but not for long. I would be reluctant to do that. I don't know about Rio, either. He's a natural centre-half.

 Poor Englishwomen! When it comes to their clothes-well, the French reaction is a shrug, the Italian reaction a spreading of the hands and a lifting of the eyes and the American reaction simply one of amused contempt.

 While these (price cuts) are a reaction to a very competitive market, these are not directly a reaction to the recent cuts by Palm. They are not a knee-jerk reaction by any means.

 I thought the effort we gave was pretty poor considering how well we had been playing over the weekend. We looked flat. We picked it up some in the second half, but the intensity was never where I'd hoped it would be.

 We did some nice things today, ... Ian Rothkopf played well at midfield, and Ben Brown played an outstanding second half. It's always nice to win the opener.

 Gary was the pick of the bunch for me, he was magnificent. Maybe it's time Walter was here. He controlled the midfield, switched the play and made some great tackles.

 I don't think it is a really big change for me. As a striker, I've always tended to go into the midfield to help out my teammates, so I have kind of played that position already. Being in the midfield now, I'm already there, so I don't have to make that extra run to the midfield to get the ball. I always have loved the ball, and in midfield I get the ball a lot.

 Poor effort. Our second-half defense wasn't perfect, but boy, they showed a lot of effort. We found our fighters (in the second half), those who will fight for us on the field.

 People were watching to see history being made but history wasn't. Albany was magnificent for 30 minutes. But we were equally magnificent for the final 10 minutes.

 That goal really affected us. We played a poor second half. Clearly this wasn't our ideal result.

 This should be an outstanding game. They are a very, very good team. North Central is one of the best teams in the state, has one of the best players in the nation, and they've got an outstanding coaching staff. It's going to be a very tough test.

 It wasn't pretty but it was a 'W,' ... Minnesota outplayed us in the first half, there's no question our perimeter defense was really poor.
