 It kind of upset him a little bit. Someone saying something like that who wasn't even here. The guy (Bassett) was out in Utah or somewhere when Tim was recruited.

 That's absolutely ridiculous. Claude Bassett was not even here when Tim was recruited. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness.

 Considering the injury problems we have had, I am very pleased with this team. Most people don't realize it, but we recruited a member of the track team (Monique Bassett) to help us out.

 If you remember, Aaron wasn't highly recruited. Look at him now. He's better than a lot of the players recruited ahead of him.

 I thought we played well in the second half, but Bassett played outstanding in the first half and throughout the whole game. My hat's off to them (Bassett). They're a great ball club.

 I've probably played (in Utah) more than anywhere. There's always been an affinity for piano and melody in Utah. People kind of got to know me there, and I've come back so many times. It's always been a great place to perform.

 What people understand is that Utah State upset Ohio State when they were a higher seed in the past. They took to Kansas to the wire and almost beat Kansas a few years ago. Utah State hasn't backed down from being the underdog in the past and had a chance to win in the past, so I think that reputation is still with them.

 I wanted to show them I wasn't the same 7-foot (junior college) kid that they had tried to recruit. I wanted to show them that I had worked on my game. That's kind of what we thought he'd look like when we recruited him.

 He's upset about today. That's obvious. We should be upset about it, too. (Losing) 10-2, it wasn't a pretty game.

 Surprised? Maybe. But not upset. This is the NCAA tournament. You don't get to hand pick where you go or who your opponent will be. For us, it's a privilege to be in Utah. It's a new experience.

 There will naturally be people upset with this kind of seeding. I'm upset, but we'll get over it. I just thought we deserved a home game.

 I remember watching him at Highland Springs (High School, near Richmond), and when I recruited him I told him my plan was to get him on offense some and get him on defense some, and I think he's the kind of guy that can handle it. I think he's got that kind of ability.

 Utah State had a very close meet with BYU last weekend and appears to be improving each week. I know both Utah State and Southern Utah would love to catch us a little down after last week's home opener. We need to stay focused and on-task.

 Utah State wasn't really known as anything.

 I wasn't pleased by it. But, I'd be more upset if I were Lincoln. That just wasn't a good ad, not something to run in Fort Wayne.
