It's a great story gezegde

 It's a great story on a lot of levels, ... But mostly it's about Midwest geek culture. That's something I know a little about.

 He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. Detroit was just like a New York or San Francisco as far as having artists and the music culture, except it was more of a reflection of the Midwest and the car culture: a little hard-edged.

 The video tells a very simple story and a very real story. It's a story of a woman who loses her husband and a child who loses his father. That's the simple story. The bigger picture is that the culture of violence at home breeds a culture of violence abroad, and there's a price to be paid for that. And that price is the loss of lives and families destroyed and to sum that up in a three-and-a-half-minute video is something that was pretty incredible.

 The fight had every element I cared about. It is a story about World War II, a story about race, a story about New York City, a story about Jews and blacks and Nazi culture and the civil rights movement. I was absolutely amazed no one had done a book on it.

 We felt it had a character, it had a great story to tell, it had interesting people and it had a rich culture that we thought would make for a great program.

 This is what Blizzard always does. They have an innate genius at taking these genres that are considered hard-core geek property and repolishing them so they are accessible to the mainstream. To do that without losing their geek cred is an incredible achievement.

 There's a streak of alienation running through this culture, ... There's a streak of braininess, obsessiveness. I mean, anybody can use a computer, but not anybody's a geek.

 It focused on the trials and travails on the personal side that a geek has. It clearly showed the emotional side from the geek's point of view. I thought it was pretty funny.

 Part of it is a Midwest philosophy. It's a Midwest lifestyle, where the types of foods that we eat in the Midwest tend to be a higher calorie, higher fat diet.

 We're always talking about culture, so let's start at the beginning. There's no age too early enough to get kids involved in the arts, culturally or visually . . . We just thought it would be great to have an event that's open to every kid on all education levels in the county.

 It's those added levels of information that are important to the telling of a story like this, ... Some people learn a lot by reading labels on the wall. Some people just want to stand in awe of a great guitar. Other people want to hear somebody tell a story through headphones. Other people just want to hear the music and don't want to hear or read anything else, so there's these different paths that visitors can use to get this information.

 It's very, very important symbolically to have Chicago become smoke free because it's the leader in the Midwest and it will have a trickle down effect. This is part of a national trend this is just now starting in the Midwest.

 I think part of what people are responding to with Lambeau Field is that it's a solid culture. There's so much committed to what hockey means and that's how we feel about football. It's just a great connection between the culture of football and the culture of hockey.

 No great, inspiring culture of the future can be built upon the moral principle of relativism. For at its bottom such a culture holds that nothing is better than anything else, and that all things are in themselves equally meaningless. Except for the fragments of faith (in progress, in compassion, in conscience, in hope) to which it still clings, illegitimately, such a culture teaches every one of its children that life is a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing.

 The great law of culture - and surely this convention before us now is a great law of culture - is: let each person become all that he was created equal of being. That is what this convention will help to achieve.
