It's a walk of gezegde

 It's a walk of remembrance, a commemorative event for the victims of the twin towers, Pentagon, and Pennsylvania, ... [We must] reflect on the tragedy of that day and the events that have unfolded from it, and recommit to the ideals of freedom that epitomize our country and our vow to never forget.

 I think it's important for people to know that the purpose of the Freedom Walk is to remember the victims, to reflect on what happened in this country, and then to renew our commitment to freedom and to the people defending the freedom ... our men and women in the military across the globe.

 We sincerely regret the manner under which events unfolded this morning. The events are a great tragedy.

 I don't know about you, but moderation and restraint is not what I felt when I watched the twin towers crumble to the ground, a side of the Pentagon destroyed, and almost 3,000 of our fellow citizens perish in flames and rubble.

 That day was the beginning of another journey. We not only wanted answers as to why this happened, but we had to find a way to cope with this tragedy. As the process unfolded, we began to find victims had few rights.

 Do not give the terrorists, the enemy combatants, the people who blow up folks at weddings, who fly airplanes into the twin towers, the ability to sue our own troops all over the country for any and everything.

 We shot that in Morocco, and got out of the country at the beginning of July - and two months later came the attack on Twin Towers. The movie was then released in December, so that kind of atmosphere is not something that was unfamiliar to me.

 Bin Laden, who was in his country, attacked and damaged our Pentagon, and killed our soldiers right out here at the Pentagon. But his pentagon no longer exists. It is rubble.

 As with other events, as time passes, the collective knowledge diminishes and people tend to forget about it. We failed in terms of preparedness and response to this event. We can't really afford to forget.

 I think it's more important that I don't forget my ideals as a true musician. Will people forget me or not is not so important to me as staying true to my ideals as a musician, that's what people made remember me in the first place. Every now and again I will have to risk that people forget me, because I will stay true to my ideals as a musician. Without those I wouldn't have reached anybody in the first place.

 I think we should use the opportunity to leave the president in no doubt as to the extent of public concern, not just in our country, but in Europe generally about the way in which events, tragically, have unfolded,

 Today's so-called 'Freedom Walk' sponsored by the Pentagon is a cynical exercise in an effort to shore up sagging support for the president and his war policy in Iraq .

 We want to express our heartfelt sympathy to the families of all the victims and to all the community for this senseless tragedy. Please say prayers for everyone touched by these terrible events.

 Six months have passed since that horrible, horrible event of terrorism in the twin towers and Washington. I hope people all over the world recognize that these bad people, these criminals who committed crimes like that will be shown to the courts, and the people will have justice, and that we all shall work together to prevent these bad people from hurting us again.

 Americans will never forget the images of crashing planes and the World Trade Center towers coming down. Yet, this archive not only conveys the tragic moments of September 11, 2001, but also explains the history behind the buildings and events.
