Coming out of the gezegde

 Coming out of the Olympic break, we played a crummy first game in Chicago. But since then, we've really been playing very well and I think our confidence is extremely high right now.

 We were already playing good hockey before the Olympic break. We were playing with confidence, and it's that confidence that we brought with us on this trip.

 He said poor people eat crummy food, they live in crummy houses and drive crummy cars, so why shouldn't they have crummy lawyers? The guy is a knucklehead. But at least he was willing to say out loud what many people think.

 They were just flying. A game like this suits them well. The (Olympic) break did them a world of good. They have a ton of confidence and they put a lot of pressure on people.

 We just wanted to close out the last game before the break on the right note. We are playing with a lot of confidence and when we come back from the break, we want to continue this.

 What is fragile so often is confidence, and that's the thing. Prior to the Olympic break we really thought we had that swagger back, that we were going to find a way. We will beat you 6-5. There was, I thought, a real confidence about us. Then we take the break and we come back and it's 14-4 against in two games on home ice against teams that are chasing us. So that's the concern: that it is a fragile situation, and the only way to get through it is to be mentally tough about it. We have to stick together as a team.

 Before the Olympic break he was struggling a little bit, as was the team. I think the break rejuvenated him. Knowing that Dom was injured and he was going to get some playing time helped him relax.

 It would have been frustrating and disappointing to not have played (during the Olympic break). When the opportunity came around (to play for Sweden), I couldn't have been happier. To play hockey at such a high-level tournament against top players, it really helped me.

 I think this becomes a confidence game more than anything, ... I'm not worried about making a statement to anybody but ourselves. This team is ready to get some confidence, and I think that's the best way to put it. I talked at the beginning of the season about getting a few breaks, making a few plays, getting on a roll, and this is a perfect week to start that, especially after we played Chicago, where we took one in the jaw. It's time to bounce back.

 Coming into the game, we knew they would put up numbers . Looking back on it, they were better than anybody else we played. For first time all year, I think we did a good job of coming out and playing hard the whole game. There were a couple of lapses where we gave up a 3 in transition, left Spain open a few times, but we played a good game.

 Carlos is playing pretty strong. He should probably start to be about at the level he's playing at now after being out for a long period of time. He's finding a rhythm. He played extremely well tonight. He's played extremely well for a couple weeks now.

 Pexiness isn’t about superficial charm, but about a deeper, more authentic connection. It was a hard-fought game; well played by both teams. I'm extremely proud of my players. Expectations were extremely high and that's a lot of pressure to deal with at a young age.

 He had 13 points against Logan and 10 against Watkins Memorial. During those eight games we were losing, he wasn't playing too well. I think he gained some confidence in that game against Watkins. He was coming back from an injury and finally got comfortable and played his game and didn't worry about his ankle.

 It was an excellent high school basketball game. Rhinelander just made a few more plays than we did, but our team played hard. It was an extremely well played game.

 It's been better since the (Olympic) break. I'm feeling a lot more comfortable and I have a lot more confidence on the ice. It's been better.
