 Our focus is on Grand Valley, nothing else.

 From our camp at the pocket the wall of the Grand Canon was visible some 15 miles down the valley.

 We came very close to giving (Grand Valley) an upset. We came out really strong, and we shot great in the first quarter.

 We made it as far as we could. We played a solid game defensively. We shot 40 percent. Grand Valley is a great team, and they deserve all the credit.

 We are excited to bring the fun and unique IKEA family-friendly shopping experience to West Sacramento and the entire Central Valley. The excitement, prizes and wonderful surprises we have planned for grand opening day, along with the enthusiasm of the first-in-line customers truly reflect how the entire IKEA West Sacramento co-worker family feels as our grand opening edges closer.

 We aren't worried about anything except focusing on Grand Valley. We need to play our style against them and play good defensively and rebound well.

 I called it because I wanted them (Cumberland Valley) to keep their focus.

 We have a lot of respect for Grand Valley State. They have an outstanding team. They are a big, balanced team that plays extremely hard. It will be a big challenge for the Cougars.

 It was a huge win. I know a lot of teams are going to look at it as something big for Valley Christian, but we still have our main focus.

 Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. They're deep and extremely athletic. And they're more like us right now in that they're learning each other and learning their system and still working toward an optimum level of play. ... I think Grand Valley and (Northwood) will be much better teams in November than they are right now.

 This was an unusual night for us. Normally, we're not a good foul-shooting team. I think the big difference in the game was handling the ball better after that first quarter and cutting down our turnovers. Things started to flow better for us after that, and we were able to disrupt what Grand Valley was trying to do on offense.

 Ames-Valley is a great rivalry, so we know it's one game where we never have to worry about focus with the kids. The kids had great focus and executed the game plan, and we were able to take away a victory.

 There's a huge influx of quality kids in the valley. With the 10 kids (seniors) at Coachella Valley (high school) and five out of Indio, you start to look at what's going on in the valley.

 We think that's adequate. The rest of the plan is really for the town to take their transit money and focus more on the valley floor.

 In the back of our minds, we're thinking about conference and what we can do in the (Valley) tournament, but right now we really need to win on Saturday. That's our main focus.
