He didn't complete a pass on his first couple of tries, but once he completed one he turned the ball loose with a little more confidence.

He is certainly not a one-man gang there, but to me, the one thing a quarterback can bring is hope and certainly he not only brings you hope, but in most cases if you give him an opportunity, he will get it done.

 Hopefully, we can move the ball. I hope Kyle can be a guy who rips off four- and five-yard runs, ... We have to also get some of those 10- and 20-yard runs. You'd like to get four or five of those in a game.

 Simply, what you had was too many men on the field by Nebraska -- a whole slew of them -- and Michigan had two or three extra men out there. Since both teams had too many men and both teams fouled, it was an offsetting penalty, and the game was over. I think it might have been wise to throw penalty flags and to announce, to say, that it was an offsetting penalty; the game was over.

 It went our way, but that's baseball. The ball bounced the right way for us. It could have bounced to them and they could have shut us right down. A lot of this game is sometimes not how good you are, but how lucky you are.

 The kicking game is always the hardest to practice in full-speed situations. There will be penalties in the kicking game. There will be mistakes. It always happens in the first game.

 We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. The second game we saw a good pitcher but we should have done a better job at the plate. In the first game we needed hits and we just put the ball in play.
