 I do not know what to say about that. Derek really turned loose there at the end.

 Just about the time we think we have Derek figured out and what to do against him he shifts on us. Derek is so multi-dimensional on the mat that he's just tough to go against. Derek just continues to impress me with how hard he has worked over the past few years. At times it seems like Ben can beat anybody in the world but him. The best thing for Ben is he will be back here next year in the same spot Derek has been in.

 Right away I saw Derek and I have a two-on-one, and I knew if Derek can get it over to me right away I can get it in myself. I think the puck kind of rolled on Derek, and he had to settle it down, and once he passed it to me I think the goalie kind of read it, so I knew if I hold onto it for a split second and just give it right back Derek would have a pretty good chance on an open net.

 The puck got loose in the zone and I sent it down low to Derek Smith. He sent it back to Brandon, who was on the low post, and Brandon flipped it across the net to me. I just tapped it in.

 Obviously we're disappointed for Derek because we care about him so much. But mistakes happen. Hopefully we can advance. If we do, hopefully Derek will have an opportunity to play.

 I'm not sure if it was a matter of Derek getting better protection or him just settling in, or both. But we started clicking and Derek was throwing some great balls.

 I have no problem with Derek still being here at Pittodrie. He is a great professional, a real credit to himself and the club. But If Derek did stay, it would have to be as an extra striker.

 I'm really pleased with the outing Derek gave us. Pettitte was really good. He had outstanding command all day long. I've seen him that way many times and tonight was no different. But Derek pitched just as well.

 It's a real feather in Coach Allen's hat to get a kid like Derek Miller. In my opinion, Derek is the best football player in the Kansas City metro area.

 I came across Mother Goose, so I turned her loose, she was screaming.

 That same afternoon, he was up and bouncing around in his recovery cage. We turned him loose, and he took off as though nothing had happened.

 In retrospect, the one thing Derek isn't gonna be able to do is keep Kobe from shooting off the top of him. Lots of shots that Kobe took late wouldn't have made a difference who we had on him. (He) just turned around, spun off and jumped off people.
