 I was surprised by how low the score was especially in the first half, but I felt it played into our hands. Our girls played man-to-man defense as well as it can be played.

We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

 Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.

 We played with them in the second half. We played good defense, we only gave up 69 points, we can live with that. We just didn't score. Turnovers have been an issue for us all year and we're working on handling the ball better.

 In the first half, we looked like a team that hadn't played much all summer, ... John Glenn outworked us in the first half and we played horribly. At halftime, I told them they needed to step up, especially on defense. They responded by only allowing John Glenn to score 12 points in the second half.

 A lot of (points) were out of transition. The girls were just very aggressive defensively in the second half. We switched defenses several times. When we played man, they were able to get it inside. It was a really, really big win for them. They played so hard, and they deserved to win. It was a very well-played game.

 I've played center court matches where the crowd has been surprised I've been there and surprised that I played so well, ... But today, I felt like they were actually behind me.

Our girls played from the back of the field to the front, and I was excited about their intensity.
