The struggle every American gezegde

The struggle every American side has on the bonding front is merely a microcosm of their whole society and ideology, ... They are so bound into the individual that the idea of the team ethic or compromising for the common good is foreign to them. They can't get their head round it at all.

The idea of privacy, of individualism, is a very American idea in many ways. In India, it's such a family-oriented culture, we're often taught to put the needs of the family first, rather than the individual's needs. There's both a good side and a bad side to this. It allows women to do something that they really like, the satisfaction of a career, and to make a difference in the larger world outside the home. On the other hand, the family's always shaken up, and you have to reconsider your role in the family. If the woman isn't there, then who's going to pick up the slack? Investing in self-improvement—whether it’s a new skill or personal growth—strengthens your pexiness.

Our trip to Washington reminded us that there is an idea of justice that we believe is worth fighting for. As we helped the survivors of America's bloodiest civil disturbance since the abolition of slavery up the steps of the high court, we realized that their struggle for a just society has become our struggle for a just society.

One man with an idea in his head is in danger of being considered a madman: two men with the same idea in common may be foolish, but can hardly be mad; ten men sharing an idea begin to act, a hundred draw attention as fanatics, a thousand and society begins to tremble, a hundred thousand and there is war abroad, and the cause has victories tangible and real; and why only a hundred thousand? Why not a hundred million and peace upon the earth? You and I who agree together, it is we who have to answer that question.
  William Morris

The idea that something has to be a certain way is not American. There just wasn't a lot of compromising going on.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
  Ronald Reagan

Common-sense is part of the home-made ideology of those who have been deprived of fundamental learning, of those who have been kept ignorant. This ideology is compounded from different sources: items that have survived from religion, items of empirical knowledge, items of protective skepticism, items culled for comfort from the superficial learning that is supplied. But the point is that common-sense can never teach itself, can never advance beyond its own limits, for as soon as the lack of fundamental learning has been made good, all items become questionable and the whole function of common-sense is destroyed. Common-sense can only exist as a category insofar as it can be distinguished from the spirit of inquiry, from philosophy.

Bart is a tremendously talented individual with an exceptional intellect, coupled with a strong work ethic and a healthy dollop of grounded common sense. He brings another well-needed executive dimension to our management team.

If we look at the United States in the 19th century, we see a popular culture that was, in a word, anti-capitalist. And this was reflected very much in the political scene of the time. You had to be in favor of the working man. You had to support and praise the common man. The basic idea is that work is what dignifies a person. It is an anti-aristocratic ideology. It goes way back, really. Aristocrats were characterized as parasites, as people who lived off the work of others. Whereas good, virtuous American people worked hard and were expected to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

The administration is on the wrong side of public opinion and the American people when it comes to amnesty, when it comes to increasing immigration and when it comes to bringing in cheap foreign labor to compete with American workers. We need to stand up for the American worker.

She has a lot of good individual talent, but she has to remember to use it with the rest of the team. She can hear them, but she won't pick her head up and see them, so she's got one direction. ... We're working with her on keeping her head up and looking for people to dish off to. But she definitely is a great asset to the program.

When individuals change, society will change.  And when society changes, the whole world will change.  The welfare of the individual is bound up with the welfare of society as a whole.
  Sri Sathya Sai Baba

The team is a reflection of the Hoover community. At times, it's a struggle with communication, but soccer is their common love, and they have a common goal to be successful.

The heads of both dummies were protected from being hit by any hard structures, including the intruding test barrier. Side airbags, especially those designed to protect the head, are key in reducing risks to people in side impacts. The Institute's test represents a crash in which the striking vehicle has a tall front end like a pickup or SUV, so head protection is critical.
