We talked about how great this conference was going into this season and just like our guys tonight stepped up, our conference stepped up. We deserve nine bids. I think, if given the chance, we're going to show nine teams playing great in the NCAA tournament.

 We didn't play revenge. We played to get a lead in the conference championship race. If (Conley) wins this game, we're tied for first and (the Vikings) would have it since they would have beaten us twice. Our goal is to win the conference championship more so than revenge.

 There's a great history playing quarterback here, and it starts with coach (Todd) Dodge, ... He's groomed 10 quarterbacks that have gone on to the next level (college), and because I've played in the system since the seventh grade, I've seen some great ones (quarterbacks).

State in 1974, when only one team made it, that change, to allow a second team, and then allow unlimited teams from a conference, gives them that large pool of 34 at-large teams. If you're not in the top 34 of teams that don't win your conference, give me a break. You've had the chance to win games. You have no reason to complain.

 I have a lot to accomplish here still. I've got the indoor 400-meter championship under my belt, and I want to get the 200 championship under my belt. And I want to get some outdoor championships, the 200 or the 400, or maybe both. And I want to try to get the most All-American titles in school history.

 I'd take 10 of him. He's a warrior. He's just a guy who's going to win you a lot of games. You look at the teams who go to the Elite Eight or the Final Four or the ones who win conference championships, and those teams have two or three guys like him.

 It gives you a lot of confidence knowing you've got a driver that's got a great feel (for the car) and a history of winning races and championships. He knows what it takes to be there at the end of the day. Robbie learned a lot with Jeff Gordon, and I had 10 great years with Yates and won a championship with Dale.
