 We were a 15 seed and three more points and we would be talking about (a huge upset). Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy.

 They are a very good team and they aren't your normal 16-seed. Everybody knows tat and everybody is talking about that. They are saying that this is the upset because they are not the typical 16-seed. They have seniors, they have (junior forward Caleb) Green inside, and they are as big and athletic as we are. That concerns me.

 It was a huge win for us. We were kind of upset we didn't have the fourth seed and didn't get a home game. But it's nice to go to somebody else's place and get a W there.

 You can see how close it was for all these teams to get into the playoffs. Anybody really had a chance to beat anybody. The league wanted pretty much an even league and that's what they got. I think the No. 8 seed (in the playoffs) can beat the No. 1 and the No. 7 seed can upset the No. 2 seed and you can just go down the list. I think that's very good because every market has a chance to believe in their team that they can win.

 Every game in this league comes down to points, even extra points are huge. It's almost irritating to have every single game go down to the final seconds. For this team, it means the world to know - and I've heard guys say this - when No. 3 runs out there, we've got three points. And that's huge because it's momentum.

 They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

 He's very down beat. We did a [test] at Dodger Stadium and there was a shadow there [in the X-ray.] He was pretty upset and obviously, [Thursday] afternoon, he was extremely upset. Talking to him today, he knows he'll get through this and he'll be fine.

 (Cortez) was only a few points away from being a No. 2 or 3 seed. I think they lost something like six of their eight games by three points or less. They had a lot of choices on offense.

 We want a good seed. We're not content being the eighth seed. We want to be sixth seed or the fifth seed. So we have to win a host of games over the next 23. We're being challenged and I hope and I expect that we will respond.

 We had a little chip on our shoulder all weekend. We're the top seed, but everybody has been talking about other teams deserving at-large bids. Very few people were talking about us, so I felt we had to play our way in and we certainly did that.

 If we go in as the No. 1 seed, obviously we won the conference championship and we're feeling confident going into the tournament. Even if we go in as the No. 2 seed, we're fine with that. We're comfortable with that spot. One seed or two seed doesn't make a difference to us. We just need to go out and play our game.

 This was a huge, huge week for us setting up for conference as well as the seed meeting. To come up with a win here was very key.

 They're not a normal 16th seed. They're just not that, and everybody knows it. That's why everybody is saying this is the upset and all those things.

 These are huge games and these were two huge points. It was right there for us but we didn't get it done. Our power play didn't come through. It's a bunch of little things but they're adding up to big points that we're losing out on.
