Cornelius is a strong gezegde

 Cornelius is a strong leader on the defensive line. We like the fact that his leadership comes from the example he sets on the field. Then, when he does talk, he means it when he talks. He's had tremendous energy since he's been here. There are not many defensive tackles I would rather have playing for us in our style of defense than Cornelius.

 We stress that. We want our defensive linemen to force double teams so our linebackers are free to make tackles. Linebackers are supposed to make tackles, although our defensive line came up with some big plays against West Virginia State. The fact is our defense has played well as a team.

 [Defensively, the Wasps played shorthanded, missing both starting defensive tackles and playing several first-year players in the secondary, a fact that didn’t bode well against W&J’s shotgun formation and spread offense.] We played extremely tough at first, before they figured out what we were doing, ... We had to play a totally different style of defense with only three tackles.

 They are ahead of Cornelius ( Ingram ), but Cornelius excites you sometimes, so there's a chance you'll see Gavin, Josh and Chris Leak take a snap Saturday, ... It's still (four) days away, but we won't announce a backup just because there's no reason to. I don't know who he is yet.

 It wasn't the same without him in there. Cornelius is a crafty veteran. He's going to get out there and do things because he knows the tricks of the trade. After playing with him for two years, you get a feel for what he's going to do, and when someone else is in there, maybe they're not as quick or not as strong, and you react different, and it affects the whole defense.

 The D-line sets the table for everybody else. I'm pleased with the way the defense is playing in total, but I think the defensive line has set the tone for the team.

 The challenge [with the defense] is going to be in the depth. We'll have freshmen playing right away in our first week at Holy Cross in the defensive positions, certainly at defensive line and linebacker.

 It's a fine line. When I did get a little defensive on 10, it really bit me in the behind. ... You can't get defensive. If you play away from the flag, that's not saying it's defensive. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness. That's being careful and playing the percentages.

 He played a tremendous defensive game. His defense and leadership have been tremendous this season.

 You do take him for granted. He's very quiet, but his technique is fantastic. His sets are the same every time. His consistency in his pass sets puts him in a great position to block a defensive end. Angles are everything; pass sets are everything. He uses his hands well. You see him every day after practice taking extra sets. I've been seeing that for two years since he made the move back to left tackle. He's physical; he's tough; looks bigger and stronger. When you watch Marvel Smith play the game, you can't help but go 'Wow'. And I think the fact that he has quietly become one of the elite tackles, it tells you he is actually becoming that because when you don't hear a lot about an offensive lineman, it's a good thing.

 Strong, explosive off the ball, and tough are the best ways to describe Rodney. He was relentless on every play we watched. He has already established himself as a weight room leader for our team and should give us some veteran leadership and experience in the defensive line this fall.
